2. This four string bass from 30 years ago is in very nice condition. Ash body with Maple neck and rosewood fingerboard which has professionally been defretted. Pearl dot markers. 820mm scale length. Chrome bridge. One very powerful pick-up and tone and volume controls. Finished in Walnut stain. With hard case. These early 80’s PRO II’s were made with the better woods. A very nice bass indeed! I'm asking around £175
 3. Thanks Pete. AMP NOW SOLD
 4.
Would you be interested in a swap involving a 6u SKB rack, a Peavey CS800s power amp (600W per side@2 ohms) and an Ashdown RPM1 preamp?
Thanks Spanker, its a very good offer but no thanks. Good luck with it all. I should try and sell it in pieces. Cheers.
 5.
Thanks for that - I'm thinking about it because I really like TE stuff - but there's so much of it on this forum and on Ebay it's difficult to choose.
It depends whether you play in the bedroom or you want the drummer to hear you. From the Trace MK VI onwards, theres not much inside - clever eh? I know which amp I would be heard with out there. Check out 'Harmony Central' on the web, amp comments.
 6.
Nice, very nice! Could you please give dimensions of the head?
Hi, 522mm wide x 160mmH x 417mmdp. Cheers
 7. An early model GP11 around mid late 80’s. I think it’s a MK 4. More of a battleship than the flagship with massive components. The X means that it has a crossover, a high out and low out. It’s exactly as the AH250 with the addition of 150W. in that the amp has two different output channels. Channel B delivers a thumping 250watts into a 4ohm load full range and Channel A, a further 150watts into 8 ohms which is high pass, above 250HZ only. The 1818X cabinet sold at the time was designed to match the amp. Two of these cabs would be the ultimate but who has roadies these days. Any decent 8 ohm cab will give you a great full bodied bass sound through channel B, double the speakers up with another 8 ohm load and wow. Don’t confuse this amp with the weedy SMX . In excellent working order and very quiet. XLR – jack speaker lead included. Please email for further pics inside (couldn't load anymore, which are of the transformer orig wiring etc inside) there may be nothing inside but I assure you it is all there as original - some sellers may not reveal all! I want £260 for the amp - you won't be disappointed!Prefer collection because of weight but will post if necessary for £20 including insurance . Cheers
 8. Nice condition Trace Elliot cab with Electrovoice EV15B speaker fitted - better than all your neo's. Also with Fostex HF horn which brings the cab alive with a clever crossover. 8ohm cab and very efficient. I want £120 which is half the price of the speaker alone. Size approx 480mmW x 430mmdp x 620mmH. Will send if necessary for £14 but would prefer local pickup and local 'test' - but there is no problem with it i.e the speaker is not 'tired' and all that. Cheers.
 9.

Hi, Is the cab a bass cab with ports or a lead cab? Thanks
 10.
here's a bump! this is cheap, I have one on here for sale too - I want £300 for mine. grab this soon, cos i wont budge on the price.....well I might....if you ask me nicely Thanks.
AMP NOW SOLD!!!!! 11.
Im confused.com.................. call me dim if you want! is this a pre amp or can i connect my cab/cabs and bass and go? or do i need a power amp?
Hi, youre obviously new to the business. It is a complete amp (thanks Chris). You can buy your EBS etc anything fancyfull but you wouldnt be 100% happy. This is the ultimate you would never want to look for anything else unless you could afford the top of the range Ampeg with x no. of valves plus the matching 8 x10. Dont read too many mag adverts, you''ll waste your money on new temptations.
 12.
Whereabouts in the west midlands are you? Tom
Hi Tom, I'm between Dudley and Wolverhampton off the A4123 Cheers. Geoff
 13. The original 11 band eq preamp 250 watts (under-rated) 500watts peak, the sound is simply legendary, something you can only ever achieve with an original much desired AH250 model. It’s big, it’s meaty and will handle any venue. You can power two 4x10 cabs or a 4x10 plus one 1x15 cab real easy. FRONT • GP-11 preamp section, featuring: • Line In/ Preamp link • Signal out Low Level • Line out High Level • Effects( Send/Return) • Transformer Balanced D.I. (Pre/Post EQ) • Noise Reduction • Input1, Input 2 • Input gain control with signal peak LED ( to set gain just right) • Pre-Shape - Classic TRACE SOUND in a button • 11-band graphic EQ 40 Hz to 15KHz OUTPUT SECTION (BACK) • Speaker Out Jack • Speaker Out D.I. • 2 speed cooling fan HI/LOW • UV On/Off The amp is in nice overall condition with the exception of two tiny PB caps missing from the eq section (as picture shows, now white) but everything fully functional as it should be. These amps were built so you can get spare parts from almost anywhere in the world. This amp is NOT one of the later push button fizzy series 6. The UV light when it is dark on stage enables you to see all the controls, even in total darkness. From all the possible settings the 11 Band EQ offers you to tailor the tone exactly the way you like it. The pre-shape gives you another option. In my experience of over 40years, as amps continue to develop, the extra circuitry just reverses what the makers originally set out to do (if you can understand that). Look at an old AC30 – 3 knobs! These early Trace models were and are the true Trace bass sound. – It’s what they hear out there – not what you hear down by your legs and these amps just have that middle warmth to throw the bass sound. This is the best bit. This is the last of my heads – it is the best. I have just bought a Mark Bass combo for £895 and I have to stick with it. I’m 62 next year and I need something lighter. The Mark Bass is very good – but….I do grit my teeth as to where THAT lovely rich bass sound has gone. Price only £250 for quick sale. Cheers. Geoff
 14. Many thanks for fast delivery, well wrapped and great cab. All the best.
 15.
just North of stafford on the M6 in actual fact if I was keeping any of this I would keep the yammy cabs solidly made vgc great sound light and portable little gigs and rehersal take one big gigs or as a bit of insurance take two 4 ohm each so 2 ohms together with the peavey T max 500 watt cheap rig skez
Has the trace cab got one port or 2? Thanks Geoff
 16.
I have one of these but no UV light must be a slightly different model skez
Skez, yours is a later model with not as much woomph.

 18.
What kind of body wood is that? Thanks. Very nice bass.
Thanks for your interest but I'm no carpenter. Any clues to what I'm looking for and I'll take a closer look. Cheers
 19. Translucent Blue Burst. Figured maple neck (non anaemic like current versions). Original Ernie Ball. Excellent sound action and feel. With fitted hard case. Mob 07989701115. Dudley, West Midlands. - if it's good enough for Tony Levin, etc, blah, blah... there a two places with very small dings and the buckle rash is hardly noticable (not that I wear a belt!) Further pics on request if necessary. I'm using my Epiphone Viola to get by now. Any questions feel free but dont just email for a chat that comes to nothing, I havent got the time. Cheers Absolute bargain at £675 NB, I'm looking to buy a Trace Elliot compact 1x15 cab with no horn, one port and 13ins deep. Thanks. Geoff. 21. 1994. Translucent Blue Burst. Figured maple neck. Original Ernie Ball. Excellent sound action and feel. With fitted hard case. Mob 07989701115. Dudley, West Midlands. - if it's good enough for Tony Levin, etc, blah, blah...Further pics on request if necessary. This bass is a bargain. I'm using my Epiphone Viola to get by for the next few months. Any questions feel free but dont just email for a chat that comes to nothing, I havent got the time. Cheers
 22.
Mike, it looks like the combo takes an additional 8-ohm speaker (which is the usual way of things) - so it would do. Unfortunately, another canny buyer has just pm'd me to say he'll have it. I'm going to put 'on hold' on the thread. In the unlikely event that the sale does not go through, I'll let you know.
Hi, Have I missed the price?
 23.
Then thats the sex!! Too bad I can only trade n px about. Gutted, love blue basses all of a sudden!
Someone knows his stuff. It is 2 eq. I think the 3eq lost something. Cheers. Geoff
 24. 1994 Musicman Stingray, one of the nicer early EB types with the highly figured maple necks and long discontinued translucent blue burst, proper bridge with mutes that nobody uses. These are what I associate with as a classic Stingray - this if it's good enough for Tony Levin, etc, blah, blah... Sound is well balanced and has a great warm bottom end. Excellent condition except for two small dings which could easily be touched up with nail varnish! It’s not as heavy as some basses which is a good thing, excellent action with great sustain. Flight case in the picture included. Pictures don't do the colour justice. Can bubblewrap and cardboard and send if necessary. I'm geoff90guitar on ebay with 100% fback but their takings are now becoming too much so Im snot allowing them their cut this time...you never know.. I’m between Dudley and Wolverhampton West Mids. Cheers,
