These are what I associate with as a classic Stingray - this if it's good enough for Tony Levin, etc, blah, blah... Sound is well balanced and has a great warm bottom end. Excellent condition except for two small dings which could easily be touched up with nail varnish! It’s not as heavy as some basses which is a good thing, with great sustain. Flight case in the picture included. I’ve just bought a cheap bass guitar to get me by. I’m between Dudley and Wolverhampton West Mids. Price £750 Cheers,

Trace Elliot head for sale £100
geoff90guitar replied to Chris2112's topic in Amps and Cabs For Sale
Evening gents, I've decided to sell my Trace Elliot rig, which has served me faithfully for the past 5 or so years. The reason I've decided to move it on is simply because: A) I don't need a 4x10" cab anymore I've just bought an Ashdown Mark King signature 2x10" combo which will suit my needs much better. I bought the Trace Elliot stuff chasing Mark King's tone and since I plan on buying another Status bass this year I thought I might as well go for it and get his amp as well! The cab is definitely for sale now. It's a 4x10" cab with carry handles on the side and that rubber type skin cover. The previous owner believed it was a 1992 or 1993 model but I've no way of knowing this, I bought it because it's a great sounding cab. The head is possibly for sale at the moment, if someone really wants it then it will go as soon as the Ashdown stuff has arrived. It's a GP7 SM Bass Preamp rated at 300W. I'm sure many will be familiar with this sort of thing - it has a 7 band graphic EQ, two preset modes, active and passive inputs, an effects panel, a brightness balance for the EQ along with a full mute and an EQ off button. Basic stuff really, but well looked after, reliable and with great tone. The stuff has only been out of the house a few times since I got it, usually when I've took the head out for recording sessions. I've been fortunate enough to have been able to gig mainly with DI stuff - this kit hasn't had a hard life with me! It's served me well and ideally I'd have kept it but space is a real premium for me at the moment, I've bought the Ashdown with nowhere to put it! I'd rather the Trace Elliot stuff be bought and get used rather than become a coffee table in my front room! I'd like £100 for the head and £150 for the cab collected from Newcastle Upon Tyne. If you're interested in both we may be able to negotiate a bit on the price! Here are some rather gloomy pictures I've taken with my iphone and a head torch. I appreciate they're not the best quality but they show whats on offer. If anyone really wants better pictures I'll see what I can do during daylight hours!
-
i will take some pics tomorrow
I wanted lighter gear as I am older than you and you can carry Markbass through into the hallaway in one hand. Great for moving around but I thought to the cost of the sound. I was disappointed with my Markbass rig after using Trace. I went the whole hog and bought the 2x10 Marbass combo plus 2x10 cab all brand new. Couldn't wait for the stage. Changed guitars on the night, precision-musicman-violin bass, it just didnt have the middle punch. Perhaps it was me. Different gig, still twiddled. Couldnt wait to get back to Trace. Lost a lot of money. Suggest you get second hand Markbass just in case. --Thats only me though. Good luck.
My Fender Bassman 135 amp is for sale. Two channels with two inputs per channel. Channel 1 is labelled "Bass Instrument" and Channel 2 is labelled "Normal", though you can use a bass just fine in both channels. Each channel has bass, middle and treble controls and there is a single master volume. You can use this t quickly switch between basses, use two instruments at the same time or use an A/B switcher and switch volume/tone mid song Channel 1 has a "Deep" switch that makes thing deeper. Channel 2 has a "Bright" switch to make things brighter. Four big valves - it's all valve. Two speaker outputs and a line out for recording / PA £395 Collection from Worcester. Come and try it. Thanks Steve
