4. Hey Tom, I see you have a Cort GB74, I had one once, thought it was incredibably light.
5. John bought a Cort bass from me, really friendly guy, wouldn't hessitate to recommend doing bussiness with John, cheers mate...Nick
6. A friend of mine has a two or three year old Japanese Tokai Hard Puncher. Very nice it is too. The scratchplate on it is a sort of anodised metal look one, he fancies changing it to a 3 ply black one for a change, so, will he have to get a Tokai brand scratchplate, if so where from, or will another brand make plate (fender off eBay etc.) fit staight on? He doesn't really want to drill new screw holes so he has the option of making it back original again should he wish. Thought somebody on here just might know, save him a lot of hassle. cheer's Nick.
7. Apart from active electronics and 120 quid or so, what are the differences between a BB614 and a BB414? Because if it's just active difference, is the price premium worth it? Also is the pickguard the only difference between the old 414 and the new 414x? Quite fancy a Yammy for a vintage 'thud, thud' tone to compliment my more 'hi-fi' sounding Ibanez sr500. I know the BB Yam's are well respected on here, any thoughts? Nick.
8. what price sraight sale please?
9. Thanks guys.
10.
Cracking for around £250.
Hey EBS_freak, that looks a neat little combo, how does it sound, how loud is it comfortable with, is it available in the UK?
11. Hi, i've been after a small powerfull combo but can't realy afford a Markbass cmd 121p and have been looking out for this Ibanez and would probably buy one (un-heard) from good things i've read in mags/ internet etc. The thing is i'm wary about is buying fron Thormann incase anything went wrong, you can't just pop it back to the shop, none of the music shops my way have it in. So, am I being over cautious, is the fact it's from Germany incidental, obviously the guy that started the thread wasn't bothered, any opinions, good or bad?
12. I wanna try this amp, why very little information in the music media and on the net, nobody seems to be advertising it as 'in sock'. This seems a perfect combo for me but it's as rare as hen's teeth, anybody know why?
13. scrumptious, drool, drool....nice buy.
14. What about 'Kadjagoogoo' Too Shy? ......some great music already mentioned, went to see New Order in the early/mid eighties at Preston Guild Hall, half way through the set a massive fight broke out and I mean MASSIVE, the band went off for about ten minutes until it stopped. Me and my girl had gone on the motorbike so we had our helmets, thought we would need them at the gig at one point. Ah..good memories, perhaps Hooky remembers it? The first three Simply Red albums are sheer class.
15. hey Kets, i'm a bit suprised aswell, maybe wrong time of year? your list at bottom of your post looks quite interesting, anything you fancy trading? If it wasn't for the fact I have my Ibanez SR500 which I have to keep, I would definitely be keeping the Cort. But because of the sound similarity's I fancy something different, I would also consider a trade against a tidy condition Markbass CMD 121p combo.
16. please note hard case included, any taker's before I trade it in?
17. courier anywhere no problem.
18. thanks mate,
19. anybody bought & fitted a MightyMite Jazz neck from fleabay? are they as good as described and any problems with fitting? Ilike maple fretboards. Any experiances shared appreciated.
20. by the way I will ship to Dublin.
21. hi John, it comes with a newish padded gig bag, I do have a bass hard flight case which I would be prepared to include if anybody wants a deal on this fine bass, by the way in answer to a previous question this bass will work in passive and active mode. cheers...Nick
22. as requested yesterday, Cort bass weighs between 9.5 and 10 pounds on my bathroom scales, the same weight as my Squier vintage modified fretless jazz if that helps any. cheers....Nick
23. hi, I will weigh it tomorrow and post the weight on forum, it is not superlight weight but not heavy either. I am in Cumbria near Kendal J36 M6. Postage (insured) will be about £20 but I will pay it. Hope this helps, cheers...Nick.
24. Quality pics of bass as suggested/ requested; enjoy, it's a stunning bass!
