  1. for sound clips of these awsome basses search 'Darrell Harris Cort' on youtube, he's a Cort endorsee, be amazed.
  2. For sale Cort GB94 bass. Beautifull high gloss real wood polished grain, absolute stonking bass for the money. Plays and sounds superb. No knocks, No bangs, No dings, No scratches, No buckle rash, perfect strings.....As New! This bass has never been used and is as new, infact when I bought the bass it was a new delivery and had only been on the shop wall that day. You could walk into a shop now and get one down that has had more use than mine, it's just lived in it's case since I got it apart from the odd times (few minutes here & there) i've had a play on it. The reason it's had so little use is the reason i'm selling it, I also have a Ibanez sr500 which I use all the time. The sounds of the two bases are very similar except the CORT has a larger range of sounds available. The Cort is the better made, better finish, higher quality bass, so I should be selling the sr500, BUT, the Ibanez was bought for me as a present & holds great sentimental value. Cort make some incredible basses in their own name but also some instruments are made at the same factory for Fender, Ibanez, G&L, Lakland and more. These bases go for around £600 now so i'm wanting £400, OR will trade for Geddy Lee Jazz, MM Sterling SB14 or Ray34, Tokai Jazz, Squier CV Jazz or cheaper (quality) Jazz copy. 3. I'm thinking of buying a Jazz style bass for £250 ish, at the moment i'm considering Squier CV Jazz and Tokai ABJ35 jazz sound. Any opinions, or even other suggestions? I had a USA Jazz many years ago so thats the type of bass I want. Any suggestions apreciated.
  4. Sold a Jazz scratchplate to Dave, he was more knowledgeable than me about Fenders and also the Forum. He had excellent communication and paid straight away, a real freindly deal. thanks.
  5. hi Dave, yes it is 10 hole no truss rod cut out plate. I bought it from a seller who advertised it as just a fender Jazz plate. It was for my VM fretless Squier Jazz (also bought a torty plate at same time, which I used on my bass, the pearle one is the same) so yes it phisically fits (pickup to neck pocket) a VmJ but weather the holes line up I don't know. I can accurately measure a few holes so you can check it against yours... front of pickup cutout to ctr of hole at top back corner of neck pocket = 87mm, hole at same dimension but bottom of pickup & bottom neck pocket= 99mm, back of pickup c/out at top to adjasent level hole= 25mm, hole at same dimension but level at bottom pickup cutout= 41mm, ctr of hole at bottom of neck pocket to ctr of hole dirrectly bellow it= 86mm. hope this helps...Nick
  6. Hi folks, I have for sale a Fender Jazz scratchplate in pearle white for sale. White-black-white. Now I don't know what type of Jazz it fits (USA, Mex, Jap, Squier??) because I bought 2 the same type in different colours and fit one to a VM Jazz if that helps, the pearle white one is surplus to requirements so may as well be sold if anybody needs one. I can take some measurements if this helps anybody, shall we say £10 posted....thanks.
  7. I am at south Cumbia near Kendal.
  8. hey back to the top, tis a bargain this is!
  9. bumpty bump
  10. Thanks for the tech info & recommendation, i'd just like to point out the square on the bottom cutaway under the 22nd fret is infact the corner of a book I was resting the bass on to photograph it. thanks.
  11. Hi, I have for sale two combo bass amps. The first is a LANEY RB7 300 watt 2 x 10 inch Celestion speaker kickback combo. This is a very loud for it's small size combo. Ideal portable small gig amp. It is in excellent condition. Please note I have not got a photo of this amp but if you google the title you you will get all the specs sizes and reveiws you want. The reason I need to sell it is, as it's just for home use (not giged) to keep the wife happy, I need a combo that will fit in the bottom of the wardrobe. Therefore I will do a part ex for a ROLAND CUBE 100 combo..... OR a straight sale for £200. pick up would be preferable because of weight but I can get a price for postage for you if you want. pm me. The second combo is a Peavey MicroBass 20 watt home practice combo pic included. This is a small (roughly 12Wide x 14High x 8Deep inches) lightweight amp that goes suprisingly loud and is a doddle to carry about. Price is £50 can get a post price also. Will trade for a Roland Cube 100 + cash if you have one. pm me, thanks [attachment=40004:yambass_010.jpg]
  12. Now sold. YAMAHA BB605 5 string bass, black, with padded gig bag included. Now I got this off a freind to try out 5 strings and now funds dictate I need to move on a bass as I have 4 string fretted and fretless. It is a very well made bass and is well respected and gets good reveiws. It is nice to play and is a good way to try 5 strings or as a quality back up. I'm not technically minded but apparantly it has very good electronics (Nathan East NE1 parametric eq) just google it and have a read. The neck is beautifull and true and it sounds very nice. Condition wise it has been gigged (not by me) a few times so the back has a little buckle rash and the gold hardware is not as shiny as it probably was when new but there are no chips or dents on it, a good workhorse instrument! I'm probably making it sound worse than it actually is but i like to be honest about stuff i'm selling. These basses usually go for about £250 but i'm seelling mine for £200 inc free posting in the UK. OR I will do a deal with a ROLAND CUBE 100 bass amp combo. pm me if interested [attachment=40001:yambass_008.jpg] [attachment=40002:yambass_007.jpg]
  13. Hi, wonder if anyone can help, I bought a second hand squire fretless vm jazz, it needed a little bit of attention including new strings and the neck relief sorting. Anyhow as I was to be changing the strings i thought I would add a new bridge. I have now fitted a Gotoch 201 B4 bridge and new set of Exilir strings. I have set the bass up the best I can and it plays not to bad but, the action is a little high at just over 3mm at 12th fretline, the releif is about 0.5mm at the 8th fretline but the truss rod nut is fairly loose AND the action wont adjust any lower as the saddles on the bridge are as low as they will go, even though the Gotoch bridge is a nice bridge i'm tempted to re-fit the standard cheap bridge, is there something i'm missing, any suggestions appreciated.
  14. I have a Yamaha BB605 active for sale at the mo. gloss black. plays lovely & sounds very powerful & punchy. It has a spare new set of strings & a padded gig bag. Reason i'm selling is; I have four basses & not much room, two are sentimental (pressents) & one is fretless so the yammy needs to find a new home. Have no pics at the mo, but, if you go to 'basses for sale' section & search BB605 you'll see a natural one to give you an idea. The BB615 replaced the 605 but some people said the BB605 was better, I dont know having not played a BB615. But the 605 is very good. Will sell for £200 inc. P+P, pm me if your interested.
  15. What I said was; take as much advice as poss. before making a decision, THE bass guy in my local store is VERY knoledgable about most things bass, I didn't say they all were. I would like to think that if a bass selling person didn't know how to fix the problem he may know of somebody who does, which comes back to, take plenty of advice.
  16. I understand your predicament!..... if it were mine I would be flapping too!! My advice would be... take as much advice as possible, buy some new strings or a lead or a new strap from your local music store. Ask some questions. The bass guy at my local store is excellent and is very helpfull and really knows his stuff. good luck.
  17. £30 - is there a prize?
  18. £12.50??
  19. They are all awsome, but my personal favorite is 'A farewell to kings' Xanadu & Cygnus x-1 are BBBBBBBBBBest!
