Hi, took my Stingray 5 (recently acquired on ebay for £650 !!) to its first rehearsal last night - what a great bass. Superb B 3rd attempt at a 5 string. 1st was a Ken Smith Burner bought on this very forum. Great bass but 16mm string spacing was a no go. Off loaded to the Gallery. 2nd was a Tobias Killer B (also bought here). Much better string spacing (17.5mm) but never got used to small body shape which made playing while sitting awkward. Sounds pretty similar to my 5 string Killer B. Doubt much of the recording has been altered. Might be putting mine up for sale. Design is great but I prefer larger bodied basses
