2. sold pending.....
3. 1978 was about the time that my Mum first let me wander off on my own for an hour whilst she shopped in picturesque Guildford - I was an impressionable young lad of twelve and so without fuss I would head straight for Anderton's Music to spend that precious free time staring at the guitars and basses (mainly Fender and mainly basses).....out of reach both physically and financially....that adorned the walls. Looking at this '77/78 Jazz Bass is a bit like being transported back to one of those care-free Saturday afternoons. Apart from minimal playwear it is as fresh as they come...as is its case and case candy. At only 9lbs without the covers its also a great weight for a late 70s model. I am looking for £1,850.......feel free to PM me with any questions and/or requests for more photos. Cheers, Si
4. Gary bought my '66 P Bass recently.......I have no hesitation in recommending him 110% to anyone in BC land.....reliable, trustworthy and an all round good fella !! Thanks again Gary.........onto the next one ;-) Cheers, Si
5. Hi All, Up for sale is my 100% original early '66 P Bass, with original chrome covers and Fender case. Featherweight at 8.4lbs and plays and sounds like only a vintage P can....neck and frets in great shape. Great overall condition although has its fair share of playwear (including buckle wear on the rear and thumb wear on the front) and finish checking. Interestingly has no neck butt date stamp, although I've seen this before on '66 P basses.....this one for example....all other period neck appointments are in place. http://www.andybaxte...ails.php?id=469 Feel free to PM me for more photos or to arrange to come and have a looksee with absolutely no obligation. Looking for £2,950. Cheers, Si

Paul has just bought my 1971 Blonde P bass......our second piece of business and what a huge pleasure.....quick decision making, ultra-fast payment, speedy collection.....what a credit Paul is to Basschat. Until the next time, Paul. Cheers, Si
7. Hi All, Up for sale is my 1971 Blonde P Bass once owned and played on stage by Willie Weeks. The bass comes with a letter of authentication from George Gruhn, from whom I bought it. Overall the bass is in great condition....it has had a number of modifications.....some I assume to cope with playing live in large halls: - pots replaced - extra shielding under pickguard and in control cavity - a couple of extra ground wires - neck pocket re-routed - new nut It has dings, dongs, a few chips around the neck plate but sounds 'huge' as you might expect. I am looking for £1,950...no trades I'm afraid. Please feel free to PM me with any questions. Cheers, Si PS. I have tried to attach the Gruhn letter....if for any reason you can't access it, please let me know and I will email it to you.
8. Rich bought my 1971 P Bass and I can't recommend him highly enough - things could not have been easier. Many thanks Rich. Cheers, Si
9. Posting requested pic....
10. Thanks for your comments everyone.....I feel two inches taller :-) Had a few queries about the weight, so here's a pic. Cheers, Si
11. Hi All, Up for sale is my all original 1971 P bass with original case. Both in stunning condition. The bass does have a few minor dings and dongs and signs of playwear, but nothing to write home about. Looks, plays and sounds fantastic. Looking for £2,250. Cheers, Si
12. Price drop for a quick sale.....pick up a bargain !!
13. Still available - please don't be shy to make an offer.
14. Trade preference would be for vintage Fender of higher value, so cash your way. Cheers, Si
15. detailed pics here: http://imageevent.com/scalextintin/1975owprecisionbass
16. Thanks Loz....its actually a B width neck, 1 5/8 inch
17. Hi All, Up for sale is my 100% original 1975 P Bass in Olympic White gone banana yellow....as is fairly typical. A fantastic bass in a classic colour combination. The case isn't Fender but looks and feels of the period, so perhaps purchased along with the bass many years ago. Decent weight for a 70s Precision at just over 9lbs. Any questions....more photos....please do PM me. Cheers, Si
18. Jack bought my '75 P bass - everything as smooth a silk....as usual :-) Details are important to Jack and I'd like to highlight the fact that he sought out the only CFC mug for miles to pour my coffee into.....my young 10 year old body guard has also been banging on about the Guava juice he was so kindly offered ever since...... Jack is the man. Full Stop.
19. Sure thing.... Cheers, Si
20.
Nice collection as usual Si. Hope you're well. Cheers, Seni
Thanks Seni - I'm well, thanks - hope its not too cold in Cardiff ! Cheers, Si
21. Hi All, Up for sale is my all original 1974/5 Precision Bass with original case, serial number 644419. The biggest thing to shout about for me is its weight - 7.9lbs - perhaps the lightest 70s P bass I have ever owned. It's in fabulous condition and looks almost new.....some playwear evident, but nothing dramatic. Please PM me for more details if interested. Looking for £1,700 including postage within the UK. Trade offers welcome although please be aware that I'm only really interested in vintage Fender gear. Cheers, Si
22. It would look great in the snow :-)
