2.
Nice sound from his guitar there.
Would make an excellent soundtrack to a disembowlment scene in "Dexter".
It makes me smile like that song that was in an episode of 'Scrubs'...some guy and a guitar..the opening line was

Never found out what the song was called,or who wrote it,it just felt good.

Update: Ive found it,its Colin Hay...

  3.
Possibly a better John Myung sig? It's not great at the mo, really boring.
Its at Myung's request, that the design is minimal....

I actually reckon the MKI is better in design and feel than the MKII..I see a few turn up on the Bay,but only in that odd turquiose blue colour.
The Veneer top looks nice, but the pots are cheap, and need replacing (this is from when Ive played them 2nd hand)..the 35" scale is a nice touch,as were the twin P/U's...The MKII looks awful to my eye.

Come to Cas and visit the Rock factory where you maybe rudely ignored or welcomed with open arms, depending on the wind and tidal changes....OR Galaxy music and gaze in wonder at the classic gear and piles of japcrap, all in a tiny cornershop...and I MEAN tiny..3 people inside and its full, the blokes a diamond too...(Hint:CASH TALKS!)

RF is found opposite the Tigers stadium..training pitch/carpark,Galaxy is at the west end of Smawthorne lane.

You could just watch Harrogate town/Railway....or have a peek at Darlo FC.

  5. Theres one venue...south of the M62,that both the good Dr and Adrenochrome...will know of,that the landlord likes stiffing people, and taking the piss...gets drunk, and f***s off upstairs, with the mumble to the barstaff "They are on £180..." WHEN they are on £250....

£300 for a new years gig?......

Theres another on the A64 that "Just dosent understand why bands want more than £130"

Putting it straight fella...Pass the word....a c**ts a c***...and it needs to be told. There IS more than one venue in a town....you got stung, bad luck, get it in writing next time, and NEVER EVER EVER PLAY FOR FREE UNLESS its for a dying child.*

*Make sure you have free drinks and BBQ.

  6. Ok,Is everyone missing the point here?

    Its a decently made,cheap,production by factory,instrument...Aimed at beginners.....kids...

I bet its a ton and a half better made than my 1st Bass guitar, its even got a shortscale dinky model for the even younger new players.

Its not being made for the experienced,or the pro...its an eye catching product, attracting ,if in a little bizarre colour, more people to take up our choice of instrument.

  7.
As a matter of interest to me, Rotosound have *just* started making very heavy gauge bass strings.. well.. the 175's at least. I remember asking Rotosound to make such gauge strings sometime last year, if not before and after a meeting they were unable to do it, due to not having the machinery. Sounds like they have the capability now! I wouldn't mind comparing the Rotosound heavy gauges against the Warwicks.
We...(well ok..Jim) tried to garner interest in Roto to make ERB guages....18 months ago..nice to see they are bothering in the Low section...

  8.
metal is such an undefinable genre now, can be ultra fast or ultra slow (funeral doom anyone), can be guttural roars or operatic singing, electronic samples or a full blown orchestra. Metal now really just encompasses a range of styles of extreme expression no matter what that sounds like and for me at least that is the point.

oh and check the pic of me and Alex Webster, dude is a god!

The end on the 'speed' is probably 'Drone' but I dunno if its metal...very odd,all the Sunn(o)))) stuff.

    Winter were amazing...nice pic btw
