2.
Is beef jerky peppery?
Yeah,I prefer Biltong... And there is one woman making REALLY good Biltong near Ripon, quite expensive mind...tastes great.
3. Ive got bad sinus pain..And Im eating beef jerky..cup of tea...i want peace and sleep.
4.
Jonathan Davis.
Nigel Tufnel...Actually
5.
I'd be more worried about wearing a skirt
Racist
6. Nope, not playing this year, but the new band Ive joined will officially announce my joining tonight, via the world wide web,I believe.

8.
Well, I've heard it's just a jump to the left, followed by a step to the right, and then with your hands on your hips, you bring your knees in tight...
I thought it was the thrust into Poland, that drove us insane....?
9.
Who would you like to be in a non threatening environment with? Would you just walk out when these people started to talk or would you try and connect with them in some kind of way? We all wear badges of some discription to show others who we think we are but we should all be cool with each other, I'm suprised you wouldn't want to meet Lemmy, or are you scared that he is too rock for you? My ex met him in Buckley once and asked him for his "Wartagraph", he went for her and I pushed him away, we got kicked out...True.
No,I just dont want to meet a bitter old man that moans that younger bands make more money out of the music business than him,in half as short a period of time, when he could have easily done that himself... Too rock...too metal..its image bullshit,I could drink myself dickless and braindead, speed myself into oblivion till kingdom come, dont make me any cooler...but I wouldnt bemoan about a career in which Ive had hit singles, mega lps,and toured the world, since the 60s. Yeah the guys a hellfire and brimstone of stories, but so's the bible, and Peter Ustinov was..as was Kenneth Williams...Stephen Fry still is.....point is,Im interested in what the latter people have to say from an educated stand point, not a from the edge of a whiskyglass and bitterness. I wouldnt walk out???,I wouldnt even walk in to start with.....Ive taken what Ive wanted to take from these people as musicians, and Ive been dissapointed, even sickend as times gone on,no...neither have to be gods or leaders, nor did they ask to be. I find the ideology of what William Roland Sheehan belives..YES BELIEVES in utterly despicable. Its the same with Heidegger, the guy had a brilliant mind, and ability, method of thought light years beyond most, but still would not condem his support, and continued post war support, for the ideology of Hitler and the rejection, even signing the public restriction (access to places of education, office of study, ownership of study materials) of Husserl, his former mentor, teacher and friend. SO how did I get from Sheehan to Anti semitism of the Europe in the 30s/40s....
10. Sorry, you get the total package......Great player ,great f***ed up beliefs...Its like Lemmy,I dont want to be in a room with the guy.
11. Heads down, full throttle...HEAVY METAL! *My mate complained that seeing me with a 4 string, just looks like Im playing a toy or taking the piss now.
12. I sat and watched these about a year ago..... Shame his spiritual beliefs are questionable, even hurtful.
13. Do you want me to track David Heap down.....
14. Terry 'Geezer' Butler
15. BOR-ING Its a Bass guitar..you dont like it,you dont f***ing buy it...You like it,your sell a kidney for it.
16. Given the exchange rate, its an obvious move... What a better time to buy British.
17.
Jesus, I though I was alone using my little finger!
IF you are doing that now..try throwing the thumb in,if you are 13...and you are having success in using your 'pinkie' to pluck...you are ahead of most of the bassplaying community.
18. Hmmm... arranging is one thing, but from the bottom up (bad pun...sorry....) the 4 string bass is limited...and few people actually write for it,straight off the bat. A stigma is often..solo..think fast and high..tap tap tap..slap etc..techniques that have the greatest range in little effort or movement..taste seems to be a byway of thought. Im still trying to get my chord playing together on the ERB,to at least give some depth ,rather than root 5th octave type playing..Right hand technique is often lacking (once again Im trying all 5 didgets on my hand ala Spanish acoustic players)...I watch keys and acoustic players alot more now Ive taken to buying some of the Philip Glass 'Metamorphosis' parts to try and transcribe, but it isnt getting to the root of the problem, very few GREAT compositions for Electric Bass solo performance,in standard tuning,or ...to be Eno..beyond a tampered with, altered tuning.
19.
Hi Argh, are you the bass player in Export that comments on the the Rock of the North website ?? I saw the comment about the 9 string bass sometime last week and assumed it must be the same person. Tony
Who else?...I very very rarely comment on rotn...
20. Until,Bassplayers accept the extra strings..to further the range of Bass guitar, theres only so much capable with 20 frets and 4 strings, tuned to 4ths, sans a band around you, there are acceptions to the rule..Colin Hodgkinson being the best of the best, and its not all tapola either.... There IS so much capable upon our instrument,so few are trying to push its boundaries...we are still in a wierd place where to have more strings STILL causes some to get all hot under the collar.... Thing is,as you have pointed out,bar kudos and ego flattery...it dosent pay very well.
21. Keep playing, summat always turns up..I took aeons before I found a band I could tolerate and vice versa....
22. Go and buy 'Mental Funeral' by Autopsy. Thats Horrid beauty...so much influence has come off that record...more so than Reign in Blood.
23. Out: Hybrid STatus/Ritter...Critter... In: Yammie 6 Tb1006 thingy....A Jim Fleeting Headless 6...Chapman stick.....Cables,Strings. Soon to go...a mass flogging of instruments..I dont need this many and Ive run out of space to put them.
24. Bottom line is,if nobodys giving you unnessercery abuse, nododys throwing stuff at you,and on top some bods paying for you to stand there..or wander about at your hearts content, regardless of what you are stylewise...playing.. Then you are good.
25.
I have a low opinion of my playing with all the instruments that I abuse. I can't help but focus on all the negatives. I also find that generally the internet is awash with people who just can't wait to tell you how crap you are! On the plus side - If I play any instrument to a non-musician they think I am amazing! (er .......... but I'm probably not!)
You are crap, You are not amazing, why do you even bother breathing.....ugh....I bet you tune up too I AM THE GREATER INTERNET MASS......CONFORM...CONSUME...OBEY!
