1. Hope you don't mind me mentioning that I am selling the matching BBT500h head here (http://basschat.co.uk/topic/175741-yamaha-bbt500h-amp-head-l150/ ) for the bargain price of £150, so some lucky punter could end up with a fantastic, versatile 500w stack for peanuts... and all matching to boot!
2.
great cabs indeed! Do you have the TU-50 in line before the GK? My TU-50 did steal A LOT of tone !!!!
Tuner out I'd guess.
3. Where is the silver one in your main photo from? (sorry for the derail)
4.
here comes a great opportunity !
Only two things stopping me - I need a fifth string, and a bigger bank account!
5. This is officially a stonking deal. I just got my Wizzy after playing with a bassist on Saturday who had a similar setup to this (Micro into a Wizzy). Something this small should not sound this good!
6. Hey folks, Up for sale is my Musicman-style OLP Flametop MM3. I haven't seen another in the UK as I had to import it from the States at some cost - if I remember correctly, it cost well over £400 including taxes and shipping at a time when the exchange rate was more favourable. Only selling because it doesn't get a look in now that I have my Dingwall, but I'd rather keep it as a backup than let it go for a pittance. I have done a couple of mods - the bass is now fully shielded, the pickup has been rewound and potted by Bareknuckle pickups, and I have installed a series/parallel switch in place of one of the control pots. Controls are now volume, series/parallel toggle (acts like a boost in my experience), tone making this a versatile passive bass. Tony Levin was kind enough to sign the headstock of this bass for me when he was doing a clinic in the UK. Cosmetically I would describe this bass as being in pretty good condition other than one finish chip on the back of the lower horn (see photo). There are minor scratches here and there from gigging use, but nothing serious. It is also very light which makes it great for long gigs or if you want to remain on good terms with your back, and has a narrowish string spacing which is kind on your fingers (makes playing my TRB6 feel like doing the splits). Selling for £200 firm collected from SE London including the pictured hardcase (has signs of use). J
7. Hello folks, These were all the rage when I ordered mine in 2004 and imported it from the States at a massive cost - if I remember correctly, it cost me about £500 including shipping and taxes which was pretty high for a 10" speaker cabinet at the time considering the exchange rate was much more favourable. The design is a 3-way one, with a down firing 10" woofer (Eminence Beta), a 6" mid-range speaker and a horn tweeter. The downfiring speaker helps make the cab sound more bassy than you would otherwise expect, and the mid and treble drivers make it suitable for full-range frequency response applications too such as keyboards. The crossover has attenuators on the front for the tweeter and mid-range speaker to suit your tonal taste. On the back, the jack plate has a 1/4" jack input and a parallel Speakon input to suit whatever amp you choose to pair it with. The condition of the cab is excellent - I had a padded faux-leather cover custom made by HotCovers as soon as I ordered it, which stays on at all times apart from when it is being played (it has an appropriate cutout on the top for the very comfortable handle). At 27lb, it is an easy lift, and on several occasions I have had friends near enough throw it in the air when picking it up as they weren't expecting it to be so light. The cab is rated at 250w and has an impedance of 8 ohms. Dimensions 14.5" x 14.5" x 21" including feet and corner protectors. £250 collected from SE London including the really nice cover. May be able to arrange to meet in the London area. Pictured with my Yamaha BBT500H amp head which is also for sale here (http://basschat.co.uk/topic/175741-yamaha-bbt500h-amp-head-l150/) J
8. Hope you don't mind me mentioning that I am selling the matching BBT500h head here (http://basschat.co.uk/topic/175741-yamaha-bbt500h-amp-head-l150/) for the same bargain price of £150, so some lucky punter could end up with a fantastic, versatile 500w stack for £300... and all matching to boot!
9. Hi folks, After five years of loyal service, I have decided to part with my lovely Yamaha BBT500H head as I have recently upgraded to a more powerful amp. It's a great little amp which was pretty revolutionary at the time, and although it has since been surpassed in the portability stakes, it's still pretty light at 11 lb and has some features which are pretty unique. First up, it has a digital preamp with a range of 11 cool amp models from flat or classic, to fuzz or distortion. It then has a fully-featured compressor (control of ratio, threshold, knee, attack etc), a five-band semi-parametric EQ, noise gate, low and high pass filters. All this can be stored in the four preset slots, accessible by push-button on the front panel or via MIDI. Around the back, there's a tuner out, an FX loop, headphone out, line out and balanced XLR DI (switchable pre/post EQ), speaker sim and limiter switches, and MIDI sockets. The speaker outputs are jack outputs, and there are two. It really is an all-in-one gig solution. The condition of the one in my possession is probably best described as "good". There are some minor scratches on the top, and slight wear to some of the knobs on the front. Certainly nothing that is visible from a couple feet away. Included in the sale is a padded Targus laptop bag (in good condition) which has been its home for the last five years. It's easily carried over the shoulder, and contains pockets for cables, strings, patch leads, a tuner, business cards, Allen keys etc. Offered for sale at £150 collected from SE London which I think is a bargain. May be able to arrange to meet in the London area. Pictured with my lightweight Flite Sound 103W cab which is also for sale here (http://basschat.co.uk/topic/175744-flite-sound-103w-lightweight-three-way-cab-l250/). J p/s: if anyone is after a full rig, thepeanmachine is currently selling the matching 2x10 cabs here (http://basschat.co.u...n-cab-for-sale/) at the same price, so you could have a beautiful, very versatile 500w amp stack for £300.
