  1. Perhaps mark the thread title with SOLD, then the mods will close it
  2. Not on purpose, but it’s tough when it takes up as much space as it does
  3. I’d get a premium aftermarket neck myself. Roasted maybe.
  4. You could build a pretty nice bitsa with secondhand parts for that money.
  5. Then again, I know with roasted maple they warn you to carefully pre-drill everything slightly less snug than you would with other woods as it is more prone to chipping and splitting.
  6. Unless they weren’t pre-drilled properly. If it is seasoning, I wonder if this might be less of an issue on the roasted maple version.
  7. I really like the Sadowsky slimmed-down J shape. It looks much sleeker than my than the standard J.
  8. Welcome to the Shuker 6 club! I have one and it is an extraordinary instrument. If you post a photo of the cavity, one of us may recognise the preamp.
  9. How about a Yamaha TRBX, just to throw something a little different into the mix?
  10. This P is still available. https://ashdownmusic.com/collections/b-stock/products/lodestone-p-bass-olympic-white
  11. I used to own this Sadowsky that was initially owned and played by Mark Saunders of Florence and the Machine and played at Glastonbury etc.
  12. That’s a great price for a starter interface and perfectly adequate for recording basic demos with your mates.
  13. Oof. That’s definitely not stock, is it?
  14. My 64 Precision. Everything else is replaceable. Well, except my 60 P... but if I had to choose one it would be the 64.
  15. I used to covet these basses.
  16. See here. I almost bought a B-stock 200 recently, but decided I have too many medium scales and if I get another it would be the 205. Just waiting for a secondhand one to come along.
  17. Could someone please buy this so I can stop looking at this thread?!
  18. Yeah, I think the EMG pickups and preamp in that weren’t particularly what I like. Interestingly I have a Shuker that came with EMG pickups and preamp and I struggled to gel with it too. Replaced the pickups with Nordstrands and am now wondering if perhaps the pickup positions just don’t suit my preferences!
  19. Which Dingwall did you have? Curious as I had a Combustion that I never really gelled with. Traded it for a Super J (sadly stolen) which was much closer to what I was after, and then bought a Super P which is pretty much the sound in my head.
  20. Oh, also if we’re talking about British pickups, I can’t believe we’ve gotten this far without mentioning Bareknuckle! I’ve got their 58 in my 60 Precision, it’s again an excellent pickup.
  21. Is that for the strap button?
  22. I have the NP4v in my ‘64, it’s a beautiful pickup. I have heard good things about Oil City and the Creamery.
