  1. That’s pretty much my dream bass right there. Phwoar.
  2. It looks like it has the stacked bass and treble knob, so I’d guess so.
  3. Flats probably aren’t very profitable for small makers - it’s a smaller market, and they last forever.
  4. Only slightly smaller than a Pedaltrain Junior - a useful size! Thanks for taking my comment in the spirit in which it was meant. GLWTS
  5. @chris_b You will still get sympathetic vibrations. A combination of left and right hand muting is generally needed on 5 strings and above. I still find myself thinking about it when playing slap in particular.
  6. The compression on that video is ridiculous though
  7. That’s probably also because James Ahwai is one of the best bass players in the country, absolutely world class.
  8. I keep thinking about this. Might have to sell a couple and get one. Which colour though?
  9. Just seen Nathan playing a five-string Yamaha Motion while recording for Lari Basilio... never seen another! Wonder if it was custom made for him.
  10. 5 string, roasted maple, Nordstrands, for under £500? That’s ridiculous.
  11. @ClassicVibes 11lb is very heavy for a Jazz. There was a 7lb paulownia bitsa on sale here this week, that’s much more like it and a lighter bass is worth a look. Shorter scales mean less stretching for your arms and fingers. I really like medium scale myself.
  12. I managed to snag a B stock on eBay for £200.
  13. It’s possible they were a custom order for Ibanez from D’Addario, and aren’t being stocked by many places yet.
  14. I have the gold on my Warwick Alien acoustic 6, and the coppers on my Sadowsky NYC P/J. More similar than different really, like subtle shades of the same colour.
  15. I have the Thomastik Infeld Jazz Flats that came on my medium scale MIJ Squier Precision that I bought from @Rumple. They sound plummy, not bright at all but beautifully smooth and warm. The La Bella white nylon range is really quite superb, ranging from the warm copper, to the regular white, to the brighter gold.
  16. The ones I like are big and have a black circle around them, so they are nice and visible even in sunlight.

One of the great Basschatters, truly a man with a community spirit! Would not hesitate to deal with again.
  18. There’s only so many times I can use that excuse! ... wait, am I supposed to sell them?
