  1. Sadly, the last time I got burgled, five valuable instruments were taken 😕
  2. +1 for Dingwall. Sadowsky also well worth a look. It really depends what tone you are after.
  3. Weird not to have an option for “Sometimes take one”. I often don’t for small gigs, or for church, but will if it’s a major gig or recording. And I have needed my backup recently - was doing a TV recording with my 64P, and had grounding hum issues due to the way they are wired - thankfully had my 60P with me.
  4. I’m lucky enough to have a 64P (albeit not as original as this one), and in my case I can say that it is definitely ok to meet your heroes. They are the dream for a reason!
  5. You are not helping!!!!
  6. Mmm, tempted. And I’m in SE3 so probably quite close by you...
  7. That is a stunning piece of work, and a ridiculous level of weight reduction! I had been toying with getting @Andyjr1515 to do something like this for me, this has tipped me further in that direction...
  8. This is a good shout. I have a clip of the coppers here if you want to hear them.
  9. @fretmeister Ooh, look forward to your review! I’ve received two basses in the past few weeks so figure I should probably wait until payday at least 😂
  10. Elixir nickels?
  11. One of the best value five strings out there. Immaculate condition and setup, and the tort which transforms it 😊
  12. I regret passing up on the one that was on sale here a while ago.
  13. As mentioned above, the HB Shorty gets great reviews, for under £70. https://m.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_hbp90bk_shortscale_ebass.htm
  14. I actually have a super shorty that I’ve been looking for flats for for AGES. I’ll pop you a message!
  15. I believe Dual Design refers to the large strap buttons Dunlop makes - they are chunky enough to be used as normal strap buttons, but also accept these strap lok ends clicking into them - hence “dual design”. They also make smaller versions which don’t work as well as normal strap buttons.
  16. Just gorgeous. Is it one of the nitro models?
  17. Love the shape! I discovered I am a P guy rather than a JJ guy in the past few years, and for me it does make a difference in the mix.
  18. My first bass, which I still have, is a blue TRB 6. Monster thing.
  19. @owen What is that bass?
  20. I think that looks way way better now.
  21. They look funky - my worry would be finding flats that fit. The Harley Benton Shorty is a 30” P and half the price.
  22. Since we’re posting four strings too, I love my 64. It’s everything I dreamed it would be. As far as value for money 5-string P/Js go, my Yamaha BB435 is stupendous. One of too many I have, so it’s in the classifieds, but worthy of a place in anyone’s collection.
  23. @Kev Yes, these are much closer to the Dingwall Supers in their fan.
