  1. You’re getting into used Mexican or even Japanese Fender territory at £400. There’s also no shortage of good older Japanese J-types at £400.
  2. I’ve actually been thinking of getting one to try out 32” five string...
  3. Hofner Violin would probably be a good reference
  4. Well, if it helps, I really like the fact that with this unit, you don’t need to power the receiver from the mains or a board either. Charge both transmitter and receiver using a double-headed USB cable, then plug directly into output jack and input jack and switch on.
  5. These 5.8GHz units were on sale for £42-ish last week so I ordered a set. A friend of mine lives in dense apartment housing in New York and says the 2.4GHz units are unusable there. 14. I don’t follow the currency market closely so can’t comment / but I know prices are creeping up everywhere as a result. Prices in UK retailers probably haven’t followed yet as it’s still existing stock.
  15. They may not be as well staffed as normal in order to enable social distancing, so it’s possible they may be taking a fair bit longer to fulfil orders. I know that’s the case with a fair few online retailers.
  16. Thomann’s prices are up partly because the pound is so weak
  17. Are they definitely open during the lockdown? Lots of retail businesses aren’t.
