  1. @itu It’s been a long time so I can’t remember the exact figure, but @binky_bass is probably not far off. Took a while and customs got me on both the bass and parts imports.
  2. @binky_bass I guess it is somewhat niche! A killer touch-style or chordal instrument for the right player though. Someone out there needs this and just doesn’t know it yet.
  3. Reduced to £125 collected from London SE3.
  4. For sale: my gorgeous Yamaha RBX6JM in very good condition. The narrow string spacing makes this neck really comfy for non-six-string players. This particular one has had the lacklustre stock Yamaha preamp upgraded to a much better Schack 3-band pre that makes it a surprisingly versatile instrument - have just been transcribing some Abraham Laboriel fingerstyle gospel lines with it today and wondering if I really should be selling it! Gold hardware (some mild tarnishing as expected), ebony fingerboard with signature “Infinity” symbol inlay, transparent blue finished body with flame maple veneer and matching headstock. £500 collected from London SE3 or Bexley DA6.
  5. For sale: my beautiful 70s-style Ken Smith Design (KSD) 6-string J bass in very good condition. I’d wanted a six-string jazz for a very long time, but they are few and far between! When I first got this the stock pickups had a weird narrow magnetic field which meant the B and C strings weren’t balanced with the rest. I’ve had pricey and highly regarded Basstec pickups (from Schack) put in, as well as a nice ME 2-band boost-only preamp installed (lovely work as usual by Feline Guitars). Little tone monster now, but I have my eye on a medium scale so needs must. Ash body in natural finish, bound maple fingerboard on maple neck, white pearloid pickguard and block markers. Grover tuners, Hipshot bridge, recessed Dunlop strap locks. I’ve ultrasonically cleaned the strings (but as they’re well-played in I’d expect any buyer to want to replace them, especially if you like zing). Now just £599 collected in SE London (Greenwich, Bromley, Croydon).
  6. Great speakers, I have two and they punch well above their weight.
  7. Very reasonably priced, I love my M80 dual. If you were local to me, I’d have it off you!
  8. @clivem I think nyatoh is indigenous to South East Asia, I remember hearing about it when living in Malaysia.
  9. I have the THR10 and it is indeed not bad, thought I’d get something slightly more substantial basswise. Good suggestion though!
  10. Easily done - you buy it for 5 years, change email addresses, forget to check the old one... ask me how I know 😂
  11. It’s a shame they look so gaudy as 33” scale is right up my street.
  12. I’m guessing the URL ownership lapsed...
  13. I also went with the Noble (it replaced the Sadowsky Preamp/DI on my board). It fits neatly on my Pedaltrain Nano with my OC2 and Polytune 2 (and powers them), plus a wireless if I choose to use one. I’m very happy going into virtually any house amp with it too, I can get the board and two basses in my Mono double / Tick and all fits on my back.
  14. Was looking at possibly the Boss Katana, but any other suggestions for a nice little amp that will happily amplify bass to living room levels and also give nice guitar tones?
  15. Is this one of the Taiwanese or Japanese ones?
  16. Have gotten similar reactions when out and about!
  17. ... we haven’t met have we...?
  18. Am currently dating an ‘88
  19. At the time? Are they no longer a 64, 73 and 81? 😂
  20. So close to messaging you about this. That’s a bargain!!
  21. @RobF If you change the thread title the mods will lock it for you.
  22. Ridiculous for the money.
