  1. Lightweight Always a therapeutic thing, and then you can buy more toys.
  2. Please could you clarify, are these the single coil or humbucking pickups? Thanks
  3. I don't think it's widely known about and neither is it on the Limelight site so absolutely not an issue
  4. Now sold elsewhere. Thanks for the interest folks.
  5. Can you advise what the "taller, narrower" frets are like compared to the medium jumbo ones please?
  6. Nice looking bass. Just a quick note for pedants corner, and in case anybody challenges you, I have a Limelight '72 Jazz (probably about 4 months old now).
  7. This is my favourite fretless for gigging purposes. MM style pickup in the bridge position switchable single/parallel/series and humbucking neck pickup. The electronics are the basic filter preamp which has a vol/blend stack and then a separate "tone" control for each pickup.
  8. Happy to meet you half way of your like. Which way are you, north or south?
  9. I can certainly vouch for the Tanglewaters. I had an Elite 4-string for a few years which was a great bass. Only fault was it was a little bit heavy for me, couldn't fault the contruction.
  10. Just as well as it's not for sale I don't think Limelight do 3TSB basses, but all the other colours. Mark did a great job in recreating the Geddy '72 Jazz for me though. Very reasonable price too.
  11. @Deedee The Sandberg "P" is called the VS. I have one that gets a lot of use at gigs with my US Std P (I have one tuned to Eb and the other to E). There used to be a passive VS in the original California series, this is a California II so slightly smaller body and thinner headstock. It makes them very light, this one in particular is rather less than 8lbs. I've changed the pickup to a Nordy NP4 and it passive mode it sounds great. Active good too, fairly subtle but effective EQ. Quick pic for you, note that this is a custom colour:
  12. I feel another pilgrimage coming on.
  13. My Mum was born in Whitley Bay but lived in Haltwhistle for ages
  14. The pic below shows the DI connections. So once the signal get to the INPUT socket I take a straight feed from the THRU jack back to my amp/cab monitor and the OUTPUT XLR goes to the desk etc. Hope that helps.
  15. Pray tell me about this cool and fashionable thing, can I acquire one on ebay?
  16. No problem, I believe that a Super Midget would be just as effective. Certainly my old Gen2 Midget was excellent in this role
  17. My YOB too, but manfully resisting as I'm really digging the '66P you sorted for me Si.
  18. Yeah, we had a debate about the best wig for metal.
  19. +1 for Luminlay. Have these on a couple of ACGs and it's a great solution.
  20. I've recently sold by Barefaced cabs for this reason, however the best solution for me has been to invest in a pre-loved Super Compact, which is small light and coupled with a small class D amp Bingo! My set up is now bass into mini pedal board > Radial Bass Stagebug DI > signal to PA and also to "monitor" so I can tweak what I hear without affecting the front of house set up.
  21. Love the ambition. Well played, and good luck to them.
