  1. Couple of SB14s on here now, I seem to remember them having nice and slim necks. Well within budget.
  2. What's wrong with buying British?
  3. I think you'll find this one is for metal...
  4. Does this come with the SBMM gig bag?
  5. Excellent.
  6. Does it work in Scotland too?
  7. For sale is this is the new shape California II in TT4 (Jazz bass) configuration. The bass has Abalone dot markers on the fretboard which was a cost option. This high quality German-made Sandberg bass is almost exactly 2 years old and is in excellent condition as I hope the pictures show. I have replaced the standard fit Vol/Blend/Tone harness with a Kiogon made traditional Vol/Vol/Tone harness and will include the original item. The Sandberg pickups have been replaced by Hot Rod/Wizard custom 74J single coil items for more bite and snap. Cream and black pickup covers included (cream currently fitted). I would prefer to arrange some kind of delivery/collection/meet up if at all possible. I'm pretty flexible and willing to travel a bit if necessary. Courier would be the last resort and will be at cost to you. Very good value I feel at £795. These basses retail at around £1,500 in shops so grab yourself a bargain! Features/Specifications: · Alder body with Maple neck and Rosewood board, Abalone dot inlays, 22 frets plus a zero fret · Light at under 8 1/2 lbs in weight · Fabulous neck with a 38mm nut width and a satin finish, so beautiful to move around on · High quality Sandberg chrome hardware with lightweight tuners · Gloss black finish on the body; black/white/black pickguard · Unmarked as far as I can see · Passive Kiogon V/V/T harness · Wizard/Hot Rod custom 74J pickups · Comes with the high quality Sandberg gig bag and tools If you have any questions at all, or require additional pictures of any details please ask away and I give as comprehensive an answer as I am able. Here are some pics. Please note the bass is currently modelling the cream covers but I have the black ones too.

    Precision bass

I'm sure I saw a Squier SIlver Series P on Evilbay, that would be an option.
  10. /\ This, second hand you can get a very high spec bass for very reasonable money.
  11. I've never seen one and I have one of the Contemporary Jazz basses from new. I would suggest emailing/calling Overwater in Carlisle.
  12. Where abouts are you in the world?
  13. Lightweight Always a therapeutic thing, and then you can buy more toys.
  14. Please could you clarify, are these the single coil or humbucking pickups? Thanks
  15. I don't think it's widely known about and neither is it on the Limelight site so absolutely not an issue
  16. Now sold elsewhere. Thanks for the interest folks.
  17. Now sold elsewhere, pending the usual.
  18. Can you advise what the "taller, narrower" frets are like compared to the medium jumbo ones please?
  19. Nice looking bass. Just a quick note for pedants corner, and in case anybody challenges you, I have a Limelight '72 Jazz (probably about 4 months old now).
  20. This is my favourite fretless for gigging purposes. MM style pickup in the bridge position switchable single/parallel/series and humbucking neck pickup. The electronics are the basic filter preamp which has a vol/blend stack and then a separate "tone" control for each pickup.
  21. Yup, I concur.
  22. Happy to meet you half way of your like. Which way are you, north or south?
  23. I can certainly vouch for the Tanglewaters. I had an Elite 4-string for a few years which was a great bass. Only fault was it was a little bit heavy for me, couldn't fault the contruction.
  24. Just as well as it's not for sale I don't think Limelight do 3TSB basses, but all the other colours. Mark did a great job in recreating the Geddy '72 Jazz for me though. Very reasonable price too.
  25. @Deedee The Sandberg "P" is called the VS. I have one that gets a lot of use at gigs with my US Std P (I have one tuned to Eb and the other to E). There used to be a passive VS in the original California series, this is a California II so slightly smaller body and thinner headstock. It makes them very light, this one in particular is rather less than 8lbs. I've changed the pickup to a Nordy NP4 and it passive mode it sounds great. Active good too, fairly subtle but effective EQ. Quick pic for you, note that this is a custom colour:
