  1. I'm beginning to think senility is creeping in, I must be mistaken about something. Thanks for trying folks.
  2. I recall the price was not too silly so may have been one of the Tribute series, or maybe made in the same factory.
  3. Thanks for that, but I'm not sure it's that bass though. I think the p/ups were slimmer and with covered poll pieces.
  4. I seem to recall it being two humbuckers with a fairly std double cut body. Possibly sightly smaller in dimensions that the std G&L Ls, SBs and Js.
  5. Hi folks I have a recollection of seeing a G&L bass that I think was a semi hollow, but definitely not an ASAT, in the Bass Gallery maybe a couple of years ago. Fairly sure it was black but I can find no record of it despite spending the best part of an hour on google using as many imaginative search terms as I could think of. Am I just a confused old person or did such a bass exist? Thanks in advance.
  6. That looks fantastic. Congrats.
  7. Now sold, thanks for the interest. Here is a set of mostly unused strings (see below) that I bought this week, but that don't quite work with my short scale bass due to the bridge arrangement. I put the E string on and trimmed it with around 4" past the tuning peg and then realised that the silk continued just over the nut so no use to me. I should have read the details with more care before buying them I guess. My bass is an Ibanez Artcore AGB200. So please check your bass before buying: These strings measure 32.25" / 81cm from the ball end to the start of the silk winding. £40 posted UK mainland. These are £65 new so grab a bargain.
  8. Nice bass. I had one just like it.
  9. Looking forward to your thoughts on the bass.
  10. Just about to suggest them Real supportive teamwork here peeps.
  11. i had a 4-string fretless Letts bass, bought ex stock before his difficulties. Nice bass tbh; very light and actually nicely made too.
  12. Just change it to a flat plate. Easy mod. GAS reinstated , you're welcome.
  13. Do we know what those two switches do yet? Are we thinking that they are the same series/parallel coil switches for each pickup as they original bass?
  14. Interesting and also tempting, but I do prefer the black ones.
  15. Not keen on green or blue basses for no particularly good reason; the honourable exception being seafoam green. Some headstocks that are unnecessarily distinctive. Jazz basses with the chrome bell plate but no scratchplate / pickguard.
  16. Volume blend stack plus a configurable filter tone control for each pickup.
  17. Sadly that had to go when I had a cash crisis a little while back. I still have both my ACG fretless basses though.
  18. I want a new bass…. Going round in circles Probably the singular most dangerous phrase to post on a bass players forum
  19. I have just relieved Kevin of the burden of ownership of his YYZ pedal. Great transaction with hyper fast postage, immaculate packaging and extensive comms. One of the people that make this place a real pleasure to be a part of. Thanks again; deal in full confidence peeps.
  20. That Cort looks like a steal to me.
  21. The video review confirms that they are 70s spacing too.
