1. Indeed a lovely looking bass but I think the p basses made in the 70s were dots unless it was a neck swap or maybe a custom build. I don't believe they were a standard product.
2. Did Fender do a P bass with blocks and binding in the 70s?
3. Enjoyed it here, and watched it to the end unusually for me. Love the change to the guy's iris too.
4. Sunday Bloody Sunday possibly in this category. I'm sure a few folk think it's an anthem as proposed to a critique
5. I swapped the Delanos for Nordys in my active/passive VS4. To my ears a much nicer tone, warmer for want of a better word.
6. I have a couple of RT CDs, both excellent.
7. Now sold, thanks for all the interest and good wishes.
8. Just sold one of my ACGs to Pawel . Top bloke and very easy to deal with, thanks very much. Plenty of comms and no issue at at all in shipping to Germany. Highly recommended BCer, deal with confidence fellow BCers.
9. Just sold one of my ACGs to Mark . Top bloke and very easy to deal with, thanks very much.
10. I PMed Alex too, but not heard anything back yet.
11. My slice of inexpensive foam is yellow not blue, does that count?
12. Headphone preamp and cans. +1 for the DT770 Dood mentioned, plus I use a Fiio (can't remember the model number, but it's one of the latest ones). Just remembered it's and E12
13. Now sold, many thanks for all the interest.
14. Sorry been out of circulation this weekend. Thanks Jahfish for helping there!
15. With a very heavy heart and after a really grim past 12 months I find myself in a position where I must sell some basses to raise funds for a family health situation. Those that know me will realise how much of a wrench this is going to be, but two of the basses will be ACGs. So here goes: For sale is my 4-string Harlot bass. The specs and general info are here: http://archive.acgui.../0218-harlot-4/ This is essentially a 24-fret bass with two split coils located in the 60s Jazz bass positions; what can I say I'm confused. The neck pickup has the alnico magnets and the bridge the cermic item. The John East Uni-Pre is massively flexible with active/passive switch and the tone control that works in both modes. Three band EQ with a variable mid control, so hugely versatile with a big range of tones. I gig all my basses and this one is no exception, I also look after thrm very well. It is however without any blemish I can see. These basses would have been around the £1,300 mark new and I am asking for a very reasonable £800 for this one, including a good quality gig bag. I would prefer to meet up if at all possible but will courier at cost if strictly necessary. Here are some pics. If you would like to see any detail please just ask. Thanks for looking. Forgot to add this bass is ludicrously light at under 7.5lbs by my scales.
