1. Keep 'em all and get more. You should be thankful that your YOB is not 1960, a YOB Jazz for me is rather out of reach sadly.
 2.
Nice looking P bass - how much does it weigh??
Thanks, and thanks again for the reminder. By our scales the bass weighs just over 8lbs (3.7kgs)
 3.
Is it a silver or black chrome finish? It looks black!
I have amended a couple of posts to confirm that it is indeed a chrome finish.
 4. It's chrome, my apologies for not identifying this simple fact
 5. NOW SOLD THANKS For sale is my 2014 American Special P bass. I think these sit approimately between the HW1/HW One and the American Standard series. The bass is in excellent condition. I can't see any dings and there are a couple of the lightest of light swirls on the back. There is a Fender deluxe gig bag and all the paperwork too. Price is £625 plus a bit for petrol or courier as required. The bass weighs a little over 8lbs by my scales. The necks on these basses are outstanding although YMMV as they say. I'd prefer to arrange a collection or a meet up half way if at all possible. Courier would be a last resort. If it helps I'm down in the southeast at the end of next week. The spec is as follows: Fender American Special Precision Bass Features:

Body: Alder
Body Shape: Precision Bass®
Body Finish: Gloss Urethane Body Finish
Neck Shape: Slim "C" Shape
Number of Frets: 20
Fret Size: Medium Jumbo
Fretboard Radius: 9.5" (24.1 cm)
Fretboard: Rosewood or Maple
Neck Material: Maple
Neck Finish: Satin Urethane Finish
Nut Width: 1.625" (41.3 mm)
Scale Length: 34" (86.36 cm)
Truss Rod Nut: 3/16" Adjustable Hex Nut
Middle Pickup: Standard Vintage Alnico Split Single-Coil Precision Bass® Pickup
Special Electronics: Master Greasebucket™ Tone Circuit (Rolls Off Highs without Adding Bass)
Controls: Volume, Greasebucket™ Tone Circuit (Rolls Off Highs without Adding Bass). I'm waiting for some decent light to get some nice outdoos ones, however as a resident of the NW sunny days are few and far between at the moment as karlfer will attest to :-( Please note that there are some stray reflections in the pics and these are not marks! Happy to do more pics as requested and to answer any questions. Thanks for looking.
 6. Here's the promised pic.: It really is chrome, honest. Adding photography to my list of personal deficiencies

 9. For me it's: 95% of the time - Bass (probably ACG) > Smooth Hound wireless > Radial ProDI passive box > PA (bass through stage monitors) 5% of the time - Bass (probably ACG) > Smooth Hound wireless > Genz Benz Streamliner > Barefaced Midget/Compact stack (both Gen 2) Sometimes with a mini pedal board containing Korg Pitchblack; Boss CEB-3 and ODB-3
 10. Having watched John Paul Jones at a Zep gig I decided that was what I wanted to play. It then took me about 25 years to actually do anything about it.
 11. I've stuck a post on asking for a model number,
 12. All good points and I'm certainly not claiming any expertise in this area Have you tried the Ibanez forum?
 13. What Surely a double necked bass of some description is the minimum requirement for proper prog?
 14. I missed this, I will check it out. Thanks for the 'heads up'.
 15. GSR180 is a Jazz type bass, but the bridge on the one in your pic doesn't look like a BBOT. It could have been replaced of course.
 16. Hi all Used only once and in mint condition with original box and paperwork. Save yourself a few £s and get this for £85 posted to UK mainland (about £120 or so new). SOLD ELSEWHERE
 17. Deffo buy pre-loved. I've just acquired a 1991 SR1500 one of the early MIJ Prestige models for a few hundred £s, very well put together and still fully functional despite having been gigged a fair amount.
 18.
Well, a few things have happened since the arrival of my prize gear. My computer died, Death by Blue Screen. Fortunately I bought one of them warranty things that we usually ignore when making important purchases and it worked. I took delivery of a brand new replacement computer. It arrived as a new "empty" computer. So I had to have a friend of my son James Jnr, ya know, the one who destroyed my prize D'addario mug (more about that to come) install my copy of Windows 10 on my new computer. Now he has to try and retrieve as much salvageable information as he can from my old computer to bring me up to date. Now the important bit. I took delivery of another package from D'addario. It was a cardboard box and when opened, inside was a lot of packaging and another smaller cardboard box. I remembered my childhood birthday parties when we played Pass the Parcel and I was there once again, hoping that I could get to open the next bit of wrapping before the music started again. In silence I unwrapped the copious bubble wrap around the next box and quickly began to open that. I saw some polystyrene and swiftly lifted the lid to discover a polystyrene cube and nestling in the cube in its own fitted packaging was my new D'addario mug. Yes, yes, it was mine. Oh sweet bliss. My life is now complete, thank you D'addario. On Saturday I went into Rimmers Music in Leyland to meet with Adam from D'addario. He was doing a re-string day, I had one of my son's guitars re-strung by the team. I didn't need any personal restringing, I have quite a lot of new D'addario NYXL 45/100 bass strings. Adam and I had a lovely chat and It was so nice meeting with a member of the D'addario team. Once again thanks to D'addario for all that has happened recently and it was nice to touch bass with you (Did you see what I did there) touch bass. Oh BTW I have gigged my Aguilar amp and remain still shaking from the excitement.
Brief thread hijack On the PC side, I have just done the same with my PC and had a lot of fun trying to get Excel 2017 to open .xls files. If you have this problem let me know!
 19. Thanks boys. Looking inside teh control cavity I'm not so sure about the coloured lacquer, I think it may be oil or wax so I shall proceed with caution.
