  1. This is why I thought I'd keep quiet for a bit
  2. Jim just bought a pedal from me. Super easy deal, fast payment; great comms and collection arranged smoothly. What's not to like peeps, one of the top bananas on Basschat.
  3. Bjork will certainly generate some interesting views. I know this album so will hold off commenting for a bit!
  4. I'm honestly not certain, I acquired it pre-loved on here. Do you know if there's an easy way to tell the difference.
  5. Yeah, it's not a big thing at all. Probably around 11 x 8 cms approx.
  6. Now sold. Thanks for all the interest. For sale is my Grizzly Bass pedal. It has been on my pedal board for a year or so now but I find I'm using effects less and less so will be selling them off. The pedal is in very good condition with good quality and very grippy velcro on the base. I'm afraid I don't have the original box. It is fully functional. It has both Overdrive and Distortion controls, a high cut control, and also a mid scoop control which operates similar to Creation Audio’s Funkulator pedal. It sounds great as a mild overdrive/tone fattener, but will also go into compressed fuzz territory when cranked. There are some great YouTube videos on this pedal by Creation audio and also Ed Friedland if you want to hear what this thing can do. It also looks quite cool with the various backlighting (see pics). Here is a link to the manufacturers website page that also has that very informative Ed Friedland review: https://www.creationaudiolabs.com/grizzlybass Next day tracked postage included in the price and it will obviously be very well wrapped. Collection from Chorley is also welcome. Any questions or for additonal pics please just ask.
  7. Just sold some pickups to bassninja. Dead easy transaction, great comms, fast payment etc. etc. Deal in confidence peeps.
  8. Not music that I would naturally go looking for but I felt reasonably engaged and listened to the whole album without feeling the need to click forward to the next track at any point. On the whole I found it felt a little repetitive towards the end, but some good tunes on there none the less. Around 6 to 7 out of 10 from me.
  9. Looks great doesn't it. Reminds me a bit of the Sandberg VM2 basses. These custom Sandbergs are not cheap so come on Yamaha!
  10. I play in two bands. The first is an original music band and that tends to take the style in whatever direction we find works for the song in question. The second is a covers band with a female singer. As the band grandad some of the songs we play are not really on my radar nor the kind of thing I would ordinarily listen to, but that's fine. I get to learn different tunes and I feel I benefit from that.
  11. Motivation for those who are flagging...
  12. I use this some of the time, often alternating with fretted bass from gig to gig. EMGs work really well and sit well in the mix. I has been noticed once or twice too by the crowd.
  13. The sound of Suella's soul. Apologies, politics. Will get my coat.
  14. Not forgetting KT Tunstall's ode to incontinence: Suddenly I Pee Nor Miley Cyrus' ode to a former lover: Wrecking Bill
  15. I also did a refin and stack knob conversion on an old Antoria Jazz bass.
  16. Don't think I've posted my Lee Sklar L/L on this thread yet. When I got it. Pickups and electronics added... And as I am progressively adding sigs etc.
  17. This one, plus a few ACGs. I feel that the OP may have been going down the early Jazz bass road but just my reading of it...
  18. Is there an option for a short-term loan of Mrs Rayman?
  19. If I tried that with Mrs ead I'd be walking with a limp for the rest of my life.
  20. There's a vid from Scott's Bass Lessons on exactly this. I know he's a bit marmite but it's only 18 mins of your life
