  1. Just acquired a mint (and uber good value) Cort GB75. Got some EMG Js to fit and will string it E-C as I think it will be use to me that way.
  2. Nice. Looking forward to hearing how it urns out.
  3. https://www.creamery-pickups.co.uk/classic-75-starcaster-bass-tele-wide-range-bass-humbucker.html
  4. Have you tried some switch cleaner on the pots. I had a similar sounding issue with a bass and a few drops into each pot worked wonders.
  5. Having owned one for a while I think the best features are: Greater comfort, lighter weight (on the whole by quite a margin), an active passive switch and, it's probably heresy and I will be burned at the stake, the preamp to me seems better thought out. I shall now await the MM police with some trepidation
  6. Aside from my lovely fretless ACGs, I seem to have gravitated towards variations on a P bass theme: Normal P '54 style P Attitude Special Lee Sklar-alike double P Is there a therapy group I can join?
  7. Burn him for he is a warlock. Fancy putting rounds on a P bass
  8. Just acquired some strings from George. They arrived in super quick time and the comms throughout were excellent. One of the good guys folks, deal in confidence.
  9. Just acquired a brilliant bass from Dan. Great to deal with and sorted out a courier issue for me with great endeavour. Top BC banana.
  10. My absolute favourite P bass is my Squier Silver Series. Cheap as chips and really nice to play with the slightly narrower 40mm nut.
  11. Looks more Zephyr to me. I had one a few years back and, apart from the woods, looks pretty similar. I'll see if I can find some pics for you. I rather liked the bass actually and had it for a few years.
  12. Hi folks For sale is the John East J Retro (I think this is the Deluxe version). The pickups connect into block with a screw driver. You will however need to make a solder connection to the battery wires. £110 inc. P&P to UK mainland.
  13. Hi folks For sale is this lightly used 5-string bridge. Very light at 147g. In very good condition. Now sold elsewhere thanks.
  14. Acquired some learning materials from Nick. Very easy to deal with, great comms and item exactly as described. Deal in confidence peeps.
  15. As is testament to the large amount of +ve feedback on here Stuart is veritably a top banana. Just acquired a bass from him and despite many courier derived trials and tribulations Stuart was massively helpful and resolved everything. Thanks very much.
  16. DFM and the MC pickups are a great combo. Sadly I live a long way from the SE so not practical I suspect. This is mine: https://acguitars.co.uk/project/0446ukrell5-34/ @eude I can't remember if you have one in this spec.?
  17. You could do a lot worse than this one if P/J is an acceptable option:
  18. Yeah, it depends on the cavity in the bass. The pots are actually quite small so if the battery fits on is long side you're probably in business.
  19. Yes, this one is the active version and does need a 9v battery. If there's space then 18v is a brilliant option.
