1. Great thanks. Can I just check that the pots are part of the pack too?
2. In this set is the bridge pickup slightly longer or are they both the same size please?
3. Also talk to All thumbs on here. He is developing a range of shorties as they're his passion.
4. Thanks for the kind offer Merton but I'm not going to be able to get to the London show this year.
5. Will change my footer thingy to Boys Nights Out rather than bands. I'm clearly a rank amateur and my lack of commitment is entirely the fault of having to work for a living.
6. Never owned either a Stingray or a Sterling and itching to try a Sterling.
7. The ACG P looks the dogs. Are you bringing it up to the MBB in March as I'd like to try it out if poss?
8. I can try, but it might be easier if you PM an email address as I have trouble putting images into PMs let alone sound clips (techno muppet)
9. I have sound a sound sample from my ACG J Type equipped with single coil pickups and the SEQ preamp but no idea how to share it other than emailing it around. For some reason BC won't even let me share the link to the ACG website so you can see the bass.
10. Speak to Allthumbs on this forum. He has his own range of s/s basses in a Jazz configuration and the reasonable too.
11. Try emailing PJ at Spector basses, massively helpful and pretty much second to none customer service imho.
12. I would agree with a lot of the above, Alan was (and still is) massively patient with me around specs when I commissioned my first ACG. Still my favourite bass ever, and will never be sold! If you want to really try a load of ACG basses I heartily recommend the Moffat bass bash in March. There will be a bunch there to try, both Alan's stock plus the a goodly selection from owners who will bring instruments up for others to try. The choices are so extensive a few hours spent trying some basses out is well worth the time before you commit to a spec. Also if it suits you I am based in Chorley (Lancashire) and you are most welcome to come and try my basses out. I will provide refreshments and conversation as required.
13. Recently it would almost certainly be Vintage Trouble at a small venue in Preston. I think they had just done Jools Holland (which I had missed) and were an emerging act. Fantastic live performance to maybe 150 to 200 people.
14. For bands around when I would have been of an age to go to a gig: Pink Floyd - I actually had the offer of a ticket to see original tour of The Wall but backed out Queen
15. Why not ? It's got two of your actual split coil pickups (although not looking like them I agree). One has a Ceramic magnet and t'other Alnico.

Moffat Bass Bash 9.

Sorry , what was I thinking. I still reserve the right to act as your official food taster though.

Moffat Bass Bash 9.

I can strongly recommend this. Great venue, plenty of gear to try out; Dave Swift coming along; and the not inconsiderable matter of afternoon cakes provided by team Cringean, including the now legendary luminous green jelly ones. Curry night on the Saturday preceded by a dry sherry or two. What's not to like; roll up, roll up.
18.
Have you ever wondered if you maybe had a bit of a problem..

Dude does Alan work for you? How many ACGs is that now. Obviously only 2 for the purposes of domestic harmony
Yes definitely a got an ACG related problem Aside for the family harmonious duo, it's entirely possible there are three others; Mum's the word people
19. Finally got my hands on a Harlot today, and looking forward to many happy hours with her on my lap. Here's a pic to prove it: Absolutely fabulous bass, thanks very much Alan. Two split coil pickups too
20. Picked up the bass this afternoon, and here's a pic.
21. I love them, they are on all my fretted basses. The balanced tension thing works for me at any rate.
22. Don't know, seems like a really nice bass and I was highly tempted last time it was up for sale. Still am tbh. If I had the readies I'd have bought it already as a 2-octave Jazz-type bass is my preferred combination. Still saving up atm.
23. Here we go, my new ACG. Not in my sweaty mits until Sunday but here's a taster.
24. These are great preamps. Have one in one of my ACGs, think of it as having two configurable tone controls.
25. How about travel basses. Depending on budget how about something like this, I've played this very bass and it is nice and light (Alan at ACG is also building some very lightweight basses): http://www.acguitars.co.uk/acg_admin/wordpress/portfolio/4413/
