1. Here’s my selection. I'm at work so can't access some websites for links etc. Sorry about that: Led Zep - Achilles Last Stand (no justification needed) Albinoni – Adagio in Gm (So relaxing after a stressful day) Joan Baez - Diamonds & Rust (Lyrically excellent) The Waterboys – Long Strange Golden Road (Best new song I’ve heard in a while) Dvorak – Cello Concerto (Sadly not yet got to hear this live) Yes – Close to the Edge (Title track of the first LP I ever bought) Porcupine Tree – Anesthetize (A cracking song by a cracking band) Deep Purple – Pictures of Home (The band that really got me into hard rock. "Emptiness, eagles & snow" anybody - plus a nice bass run towards the end) Book would have to be Lord of the Rings – I must have read it umpteen times but always enjoyable Luxury item – A fishing rod
2. Nice gent. Roman has just acquired some strings from me. A please to do business with you and thanks for the easy transaction.
3. Having a clear out of the spares drawer. Here are three sets of Dunlop Dual Design straplocks in black. These came with ACG basses I have acquired and are surplus as I have them already fitted to the straps. For simplicity I have acquired some additional buttons so they are both full sets. Thanks all sold now.

BassBus Feedback

Young Mr Graham has just acquired some straplocks from me in a very painless and easy transaction. Highly recommended to all fab and groovy BCers. Graham, you are a gentleman and a scholar sir.
5. I used to be pretty ambivalent about them and I always treat my basses with care. However after acquiring a Fender RW Jazz recently, I have to say it's the nicest Jazz I've played. The finish is growing on me too.
6. For sale are a set of D'Addario NHR Half Round Nickel strings. The gauges are 40/55/75/100 and they were used as an experiment on a Jazz bass at home for about one week, so are pretty much like new. Cost £36 new so save yourself some money. Now only £17 posted mainland UK. Thanks for looking.
7. Nige has just bought some strings from me. Perfect gent. Thanks for the easy transaction.
8. All PMs relied to, thanks. Looks like they're gone subject to the usual.
9. I have a set of black Schaller straplocks that came with a recent acquisition. The pins have been scewed into one bass at the time of build and then promptly removed by me so not brand new, but as good as. £10 posted UK mainland. Happy provide pics if required.

ACG NBD x 2
Mmmmm, nice! More info about the filter preamp, please! Edit: it's in the link. Not just pictures!
Essentially you can have pretty much any combination of the three. The central pickup is a humbucker, the neck is a single coil and the bridge is an overwound single coil. Humbucker goes into one filter stack, the other two can be soloed or combined in series or parallel into the other filter stack and the blend takes care of the mix. So far liking the bridge soloed with some humbucker blended in the most. Early days of course.

Not as many as some others...but definitely less than 6 as I've just checked. They're just too damned nice.

ACG NBD x 2

Highly delighted with the two (don't mention it to Eude) ACGs picked up from Moffat today. A modern version of the classic Jazz bass commissioned last year and a prototype fretless 5er with a 3 pickup, multi-switchable option linked into a filter preamp that I discovered at the recent Moffat bass bash and persuaded Alan to sell to me. I'll do some better pics when the sun decides to show itself in the Lancashire area. Don't hold your breath... 13. It's OK not to like Js, there's no shame in it. Personally I'm a fan.
14. Dave just acquired a fretless ACG bass from me. Excellent communications and prompt payment etc. A top bloke so deal with complete confidence. Pleasure doing business, many thanks.

ACG build

Here's a couple of tasters of my Standard J Type. Collecting on Friday.
16. Just a thought, but it might be helpful to say where you are based for BCers wanting to try the bass out. Not uninterested myself tbh.
17. Yes, absolutely disgraceful. I will have some new pics to share later on...

And finally, here is the 'Ultimate Jazz Bass' (well for me at any rate)...
20.
....and one "you sound like that bloke from tool".
Are you sure that was what he/she said? Lovely bass in all seriousness. Will confess to lusting after an Uber spec ACG after playing the blue ART finish Recurve, like Eude said great the way every note is so well defined.
