Thanks Andy, It surely would. A further demonstration of your acute perspective on bass-realted issues.
3. Can't help with the pot, but I'll see what I've got in the box incase there is anything you like - may not be much as my preference is for black. Theses East knobs are very nice: http://www.east-uk.com/index.php/bass/misc/knobs.html If you like these I have found one chrome stack you can have FOC.
4. The interweb suggests that they are 6mm diameter top and 8mm diameter bottom for the stacks. What sort of thing are you after colour/quantity wise as I might have some stuff lying around.
5. Is it much worse than the cult of Rickenbacker; I can't say I've really noticed. To be prefectly honest I've never even picked up an MM so have absolutely nothing controversial to add - probably a hate crime in itself .

10. I'm sure I've seen this bass in the F/S section: http://www.acguitars.co.uk/acg_admin/wordpress/portfolio/0166-custom-j-type-5/ Technically satin finish so may not qualify.
11.
On a serious note it was a really nice bass that i only sold because i had just bought another Fretless bass and couldn't justify to myself having three Fretless basses.
Is having three fretless basses always bad?
12. Personally I'm a convert, they seem to work particularly well with the asymmetric neck carve on ACGs. I have no idea why, but they do fell natural almost immediately. Don't know where you are in the world but I have some ACGs you are welcome to try if you like.

Bump for special offer.
14. My former Tanglewater also Elite had a bolt on neck; same vintage. A bit hard to see but it had a nice low action without modification.
15. I should warn you that there may a risk that he will play 'That Song' from The Bodyguard in extended 30 minute format.
16. I've always preferred the John East preamps, or if you have an interest in something a bit different the filter preamps are very cool. These are a good introduction to the breed: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/249328-acg-eq02-pre-amp-recently-serviced-healthchecked-by-john-east/
17.
I would settle for getting into the price bracket of the others named in the above. Not sure I would be able to charge 10K for a bass even if I could. To my mind there is a limit to what you can do with a bass guitar, a limit to the materials and hardware you can use a limit to how much time you can spend on a bass and a limit to how much I could ask for a bass beyond which I would feel uncomfortable. I have not reached where I want to get to but I have a ballpark in mind for my top of the range it is a lot shy of £10K.
Better get my next commission in early then Alan
