Not sure how anybody going there to try amps out could have made an informed decision (or basses for that matter unless headphones were supplied - thanks Skelf, loved the new ACG Standards now I've seen them in the flesh.

[/quote] The reason I prefer 'light touch' compression to alter dymanics more than the sound is that this, to my ears at any rate, works really well with fretless basses. In fact I probably enjoy the light compression more than the ubiquitous chorus pedal. YMMV of course.

    I'm rather attached to my Diamond Bass Comp. Quite mild compression but doesn't seem to loose much on the way through.

    For sale is my trusty MB-500 amp as I fancy something different. I have owned this from new and it has worked faithfully in gigs and practices. Still in excellent condition with barely a mark on it. Comes with the footswitch and lead (neither have been used). Trades for other amp heads of interest but nothing that you'd need a truck to move please. Here are the pics. If you'd like to see more please just ask. £250 delivered UK mainland OVNO.
