It would be nice to be able to do more structured searches of the For Sale bits. The down side however is most likely to be increased spending on basses etc. leading inevitably to chastisement, mental cruelty, abuse, assault with a deadly frying pan, castration, death and divorce. Not necessarily in that order.

Within our band we will often take an idea in rehersal - in the prescribed key(s) - and just see where it goes tempo-wise and style-wise. We've had a few songs develop out of this, hopefully in a good way. Plucking up the courage to go to an open jam night so can't really comment on those yet.

[/quote] Neck is really nice and smooth (matt/satin finish). Somewhere between a P and a J in terms of shape/size, but very comfortable for me. I took to the fanned fret thing after a couple of hours (due to my talent deficit which didn't allow me to make the transition in seconds/a minute or two). It is a bit odd at first particularly at the extreme ends of the fretboard, but once you get the hang of it, it's really rather good.

Technically NDBD was on Thusday 17th but it's taken me a day or two to take a few pics. This one used to belong to fellow BCer Flex and replaces the Combustion 5 as I couldn't handle the 5 string thing. It's a cracker. Lovely wenge neck and 'board. [attachment=160850:Dingwall AB1 Custom 4 103.JPG]
