  1. I'm not sure that I would know how to do that
  2. Good point ref through body. Sandberg necks for me are absolutely the best out there outside of my custom ACG basses.
  3. It would have to be my ACG fretless J Type:
  4. Sandberg could make you something fairly similar...although not sure that the switching option on the humbucker is part of the std spec.
  5. Not always @LukeFRC, I'd say my favorite setting is neck pickup on full throttle and the other backed off about 10%, plus the tone backed off by about 25%. It also works nicely the other way around.
  6. Started to accumulate some sigs and comments etc. A couple of BC members already captured.
  7. For sale is this small sized hard case that I used as a mini pedal board for a while but recently acquired some extra stuff so this is now available for others to benefit from. Internal dimensions are: 424mm L x 226mm W x 78mm H. This is the product on the Stagg website: https://staggmusic.com/en/products/view/UPC424-abs-case-for-guitar-effect-pedals-pedals-not-included/ It's in good condition and has been looked after doing the odd gig and rehearsals. Keys included. Here are some pics, happy to take more if you need to see any details in close up. They seem to sell new for around the £40 mark on average, so grab a bargain at £25 plus the cost of postage (if that is required).
  8. Pretty much where I'm at. Some covers we do I'm really not fussed about but the band are there to entertain so it sort of goes with the territory. Thankfully I also play in an originals band so have the ying and yang thing to balance it all out.
  9. For sale is my Fender Original P bass pickup, an accurate reproduction of a 1962 Precision Bass Pickup with the copper shielding plate earthed to the pickup and thus to the jack socket earth. This classic split-coil humbucking pickup delivers powerful bass and clear high-end. Enamel-coated magnet wire for warm vintage tone Flush-mount pole pieces for even string response Alnico 5 magnets for more focus and enhanced dynamics Period-correct cloth output wire and fiber bobbin Includes pickup screws and springs £50 including P&P to UK mainland A well-regarded upgrade delivering the classic P bass punch, with plenty of positive comment on the web. The pickup has been working away in my P bass for a couple of years and is in full working order with all the cloth insulated wiring in place. For sale as I have decided to refit the original item to restore the bass to full original condition prior to sale. Let me know if have any questions or would like to see any other detailed images. Thanks for looking.
  10. Hi folks I have a set of four tuners that came from an old Greco right-handed P bass (not the original fit items btw). The have a nice aged patina to them that looks to be authentic rather than 'created.' Each tuner weighs 87g and has a post diameter of 13.9mm or 9/16". Happy to do full measurements for you. £25 posted to UK mainland Thanks for looking and here are some pics. Please let me know if you'd like to see anything in more detail:
  11. Hi folks For sale is my MIJ Boss BF-2B bass flanger one of the original MIJ versions. It is in full working order but is definitely road-worn. I no longer have the box or leaflet but the latter is easily available on line. Looking for £85 inc. P&P to UK mainland Here are some pics. Let me know if you'd like to see any other details. Thanks for looking.
  12. Here we go peeps, all put back together. Pleased with the results and the bass plays nicely.
  13. Well, a bit of a story. I managed to track down Mr N as the owner of some pickups from a vintage bass that I was looking to restore to original condition. Dave very kindly went on a hunt for them, was happy to donate them and would not accept any payment and included some bits and pieces foams etc. to help. What an amazing guy and a real credit to this wonderful place. Thank you so much.
  14. Personally I can't wait.
  15. Of course. Should be finished with the work in a few days and will post some pics then.
  16. Thanks, very pleased with them tbh. Also thanks to this brilliant community for the ideas and suggestions.
  17. Project update. Some bushings arrived this morning and they slot in nicely. I'll wind a bit of tape around them to make the fit a bit tighter but otherwise, and in the absence of the real thing, seem to be a good compromise.
