  1. Piano would be choice. Still tinkering with the idea of getting lessons.
  2. Hi folks For sale is this excellent Ashdown Tone Pocket with all the bits some of which haven't even been opened. I'll include a 1/4" jack to mini jack converter too. The contents include tote bag, UK power supply, mini-jack to mini-jack and USB to mini-SUB connectors, plus stick-on belt clip. I appear to have accumulated a few similar devices and as this is the newest and virtually unused item it's up for someone else to enjoy. It has never been out of the house and is thus in excellent condition. I used it just a couple of times to record bass parts onto my laptop. Here's the link to the manufacturer info: https://ashdownmusic.com/products/tone-pocket-v2-0 Mine is the v1 version but I can't see a whole lot that is different. Plenty of YouTube reviews too. £80 posted using 1st Class Recorded Delivery to the UK mainland. If you are a bit further afield in one of the trickier postcodes I will need to add a small supplement I suspect. Thanks for looking and here are some pics. If you'd like to see anything in more detail or indeed have any questions please just ask.
  3. Update on lead-times. Apparently a batch of the Cali II Central basses is being produced and will hopefully include mine so looking more like 8-9 months now.
  4. I've only owned one US Stingray, well a Sterling to be precise, and a few Sandbergs. I think the Sandberg necks are right up there in terms of playability with anything out there.
  5. Close To The Edge was the first LP that ever I purchased.
  6. Odd isn't it. I've had mine for a good few weeks now and really enjoying it. Taken it to a few practice sessions too and it fits in beautifully. A fellow BCer brought his Will Lee Metro (MIJ) bass around so it was good to compare the two (even though his was fretted obvs). I know he is on the look out for a fretless bass and I think he left with a very positive opinion of my MetroExpress bass. Also very interesting to compare the Will Lee to my Sandberg California II TT passive.
  7. I'm being quoted 10-12 months. My last Sandberg came in 9 months so looks like things are getting busier over there.
  8. Hi folks Here we have a Sadowsky preamp on a bell plate. This is two band with active/passive switching and is in excellent condition. It has come from one of the RSD MetroExpress basses that has received a John East Deluxe 3-band jobby as an upgrade. Let me know if you have any questions. Available for a very reasonable £75 posted to UK Mainland. Here are some pics:
  9. Lead time getting longer for Sandberg basses. Currently 10-12 months so don't hold your breath.
  10. I was quoted £1,364 from Classic & Cool Guitars.
  11. Ah OK, I thought you were after the saintly Mrs ead for a moment.
  12. Just ordered one, not a word to Mrs ead please folks...
  13. What are your specific issues with it as they do look pretty similar to my eyes?
  14. You can play Fb on a fretless bass 😁
  15. Don't know her personally but been to several of her gigs in the UK. Very good they were too.
  16. I have some remorse over a number of basses I have owned and moved on for what seemed like perfectly rational reasons, by which I mean rational seen through the GAS lens. The one I genuinely kick myself about is this early ACG fretless bass. I'd buy it back in an instant.
  17. Just acquired a pedalboard from BW. Everything as described, speedy delivery, happy bunny. Many thanks for an easy ride.
  18. Definitely. I was looking for a low dirt content, lightly over-driven signal to feed into a Flanger. Does the job nicely and a v cheap way of getting that Muse tone for Plug In Baby.
  19. I acquired a pre-loved one of these recently and rather like it too.
  20. Also sfx http://sfxsound.com/home/
  21. Mine wears D'Addario EXL170BTs.
