Close To The Edge was the first LP that ever I purchased.

Odd isn't it. I've had mine for a good few weeks now and really enjoying it. Taken it to a few practice sessions too and it fits in beautifully. A fellow BCer brought his Will Lee Metro (MIJ) bass around so it was good to compare the two (even though his was fretted obvs). I know he is on the look out for a fretless bass and I think he left with a very positive opinion of my MetroExpress bass. Also very interesting to compare the Will Lee to my Sandberg California II TT passive.

I'm being quoted 10-12 months. My last Sandberg came in 9 months so looks like things are getting busier over there.

Lead time getting longer for Sandberg basses. Currently 10-12 months so don't hold your breath.

What are your specific issues with it as they do look pretty similar to my eyes?

Don't know her personally but been to several of her gigs in the UK. Very good they were too.

I have some remorse over a number of basses I have owned and moved on for what seemed like perfectly rational reasons, by which I mean rational seen through the GAS lens. The one I genuinely kick myself about is this early ACG fretless bass. I'd buy it back in an instant.

Definitely. I was looking for a low dirt content, lightly over-driven signal to feed into a Flanger. Does the job nicely and a v cheap way of getting that Muse tone for Plug In Baby.

I acquired a pre-loved one of these recently and rather like it too.
