  1. P bass; Motown; can't be that boring surely?
  2. Ainsley Lister - Eyes Wide Open has some nice keys on it.
  3. Responded
  4. Love those @marleaux62
  5. Limelight made me a copy of Geddy's no.1 Jazz that I am anxious to recover as I had to see a few basses a couple fo years ago to raise money rapido. Still regret letting this one go.
  6. Plus pretty sure it's not a drop in replacement so there will most likely be more holes under whatever bridge ends up on the bass.
  7. My ACG fretless
  8. Thanks for the kind comments @NancyJohnson, together they are indeed awesome, a much overused word but appropriate in this instance. I do however only want to sell one of the pair. I have not strong preference as they are both excellent individually so I thought I'd see if anyone in BC land was on the lookout for a cab. Probably a bad time to sell cabs though.
  9. Sandberg did this a year or so ago when they launched the Fumed Oak finger board as a replacement for Rosewood. QUite like the look.
  10. Just been raiding the Maruszczyk configurator and this comes out at €1,230. I guess the PJ would be similar. It is a matt finish even though it looks a bit shiny.
  11. Buy a 2010 Fender Am Std. and stick it in a cupboard for him. He'll thank you in 50 years time (assuming the Zombie Apocalypse has been side-stepped).
  12. Could be blacker if it was fretless
  13. Updates with a couple more, an MIJ Geddy Lee and an Am Std P:
  14. Certainly not.
  15. Yes and the sound degrades rather than going off. It may be crackly and/or lower output. When I buy an active bass I pretty much always change the battery and write the date on it. I then change batteries on my birthday each year.
  16. I concur, Sandberg are right up there with Spector in terms of customer service.
  17. Legends (Korea) mostly bolt on although there are a couple of NT models. Legend electronics slightly more basic. Euro are sort of USA lite models. All NT (I think), do not have the Haz preamps like the US models. Probably worth checking the Spector website for more details.
  18. Yeah, plenty of them but few doing their own material even if it is in a Rush styleee.
  19. I use the long scale sets as that gives me the tension I prefer. Would the short scale actually be long enough? I have, on occasion, bought a bunch of D'Addario singles to get a lighter weight set that are 40/55/75/100 compared with the 170BTs that are 45/60/80/107.
  20. Same here, with the honorable exception that I like the D'Addarion EXL170BT set.
  21. They only made 50 of the '77 version according to PJ Rubal. He's getting the final production numbers for the '79 for me at some point.
  22. Whilst I don't have any proper tools to measure, I have just had a good look at them side by side and can feel no noticeable difference between the two. Both necks are delightful
  23. Just discovered YYNOT. Aside from doing pretty decent Rush covers they have a couple of CDs of original material. CLearly influenced by Rush but a good listen. Great bass tone too.
  24. I take copious pictures of the bass and also at various stages of the packing process. No idea why just seems like a good idea to me.
  25. Responded.
