  1. That'll be it, can't be using wood now can we. Possibly plexiglass as a backup bass?
  2. Black/Black/Rosewood like the Lakland above also very nice imho.
  3. Just trying to work out what is left to like
  4. How tedious would it be if we all wanted a pointy bass constructed with exotic woods with jazz pickups, a 4 over 1 (overly extended) headstock, randomly scattered control knobs and a tort scatchplate. Vive a difference. Sin of omission. The bass would have flashing multi-colour LEDs both side and on the face of the fretboard.
  5. Nah, that would be one of these
  6. Things I'm not keen on: Pointy basses Not too keen on many of the iconic Warwick designs (apart from the one they stole from Stuart Spector and the Dolphin) Weirdly sized pickups you can't swap out Not a fan of green basses for some reason either.
  7. Who was it that played with Joe Bonamassa before he became a massive d1ck and needed a different guitar for every song?
  8. Leo Lyons of 10 Years After and more recently Hundred Seventy Split deserves a mention. Andy Fraser of Free too.
  9. I thought it was the Fodera one until I saw your price prompt. They were roughly £185,000 or thereabouts.

    Your Go To Bass

Mine is not even close to being straight of that symmetrical tbh but it dows the job well and is easy to insert, adjust for the level of 'thump' required and to remove hastily for the next song.
  11. I voted 70s but my current J is 60s.
  12. With you there. When I bough my '66 I deliberately sought a bass that had been played not left in a cupboard.
  13. Beautiful, but I would have to change the pickguard.

    Your Go To Bass

We share very similar tastes in foam mutes.
  15. Thanks. I don't have the full spec for this one, but the current std. spec. for the Crusher Elite is 24" radius which looks reasonable for this bass when comparing it to other basses I own.
  16. Got round to taking my own pics:
  17. Not sure whether to be relieved or disappointed now
  18. p.s. I also used Barefaced cabs. I have a Supper Compact and a Big Baby T.
  19. Maybe we're lost lost brothers as I have no idea about my blood relations. It does proove that we share immaculate good taste however.
  20. Goodness, they make my eyes water! My pedal board pales into insignifcance containing as it does a Radial Bigshot I/O to let me use two basses with differing output levels without the need to keep tweaking amp settings with a tuner into the Bigshot; then a Root Effects Herrenchor pedal (chorus) for use with a fretless bass; then a Digitech Drop tuning pedal for instant Eb or lower tunings; a Micro Thumpinator and finally a Radial StageBug SB-2 passive DI. Oh, and the bass has landed
