  1. Sorry no, Manchester MEN Arena a few year ago.
  2. Saw them at Knebworth, last show.
  3. Nice one. Should I have a go? Genesis Pink Floyd Led Zeppelin Yes Porcupine Tree David Bowie The Rolling Stones Joe Bonamassa Paul McCartney Fairport Convention
  4. ...played at twice the speed (good for metal).
  5. What if you come a family rife with in-breeding and actually have 6 fingers on each hand?
  6. I think Norman Wisdom is meant to deceive so I'm voting for Jeff Berlin if only because I don't recalling him touring as a named artist.
  7. Looking forward to seeing the build thread on this, or hoping there will be at least some updates failing that!
  8. @Muppet can I enquire whether the volume control on the Tone Pocket only controls the bass level? i.e. do you control the input from, say, your iPod from the unit itself?
  9. Just seen the Tone Pocket on Reverb for £139 inc.P&P (direct from Ashdown it would appear).
  10. I believe so. Can't quite see the s/n on your lovely bass, but mine was an M same as the OP's with a lower number so probably built around the same time if slightly earlier.
  11. Here's a p[ic of my S/S Squier where you can see the logo. Looking at the aboive it looks like it may have been sanded off on the OP's bass.

  13. I thought a few of the basses on the site were a bit pricey tbh.
  14. Whatever you do don't put it down in a dark room, you'll never find it again.
  15. Better for metal of course.
  16. It did have the veneer but it was really 'average' possibly as it was to be painted over. We did think the blocks were mahogany bu it was a best guess really. On the upside doing this did lighten the weight of the bass somewhat heresy or not. No idea what I was thinking with blocks and stack knobs though.
  17. That's quite cool and deffo looks better than my random strip of sponge whose provenance remains uncertain.
  18. Is it any good for metal?
  19. My Antoria Jazz had the butchers block sandwich, I stripped all the paint off and finished it in Danish Oil. I say I stripped it, in reality it was Jack at his self titled Instruments Services who did the work (very nicely too). I think it came out pretty well.
  20. https://www.musicradar.com/reviews/rikkers-classic-line-precision
  21. We should run this again in 2 months time when we're all stir crazy, there'll be no holding back then
  22. Made of wood, doesn't qualify.
  23. That'll be it, can't be using wood now can we. Possibly plexiglass as a backup bass?
  24. Black/Black/Rosewood like the Lakland above also very nice imho.
