  1. Bought from the USA, Germany and Ireland. Sold to Germany, Ireland, Greece and Italy.
  2. Very lovely indeed. I presume that the brushed metal pickup covers are there to help you locate the bass were you ever to put it down on a darkened stage?
  3. Did you genuinely expect support and understanding?
  4. I've just owned one 4003 so don't feel that qualified to offer any opinions
  5. I'm going to have to dig out the CDs again now.
  6. Yup, unleashed it last night, and we'll be inflicting on the public again on Friday.
  7. How could I have forgotten Neil Young's Rocking in the Free World
  8. My fav was a 'tribute' build of Chris Squire's green Mouradian bass. Sorry can't find the thread for pics.
  9. Here's few that jumped into my head: What's Going On? (Surely one of the best) Zombie (not sure if this is actually a protest song or just a strong lyric) Sunday Bloody Sunday Two Tribes Glad To Be Gay
  10. Ooooh One or two p/up versions @skelf?
  11. Best purchase probably the LAG Collection Jazz bass that I found in the dark recesses of ebay for a few hundred squids. Turns out these were boutique basses back in the late 80s/early 90s. Less good was an SBMM SB14 that I just didn't get on with.
  12. I used to own an mid 70s Antoria Jazz. Was black but had it refinished to natural. The body was an unusual butchers block sandwich. Cracking bass though,
  13. I have a 32" scale ACG P that compares tone-wise to my Fender P bass, but has an asymmetric neck with 24 frets and is lighter by a fair margin resulting in it being gigged relentlessly displacing my other firm favourite gigging bass my ACG J Type. Token bass pic:
  14. Why not something pre-loved?

    Road Worn Jazz

Standard Js. They are one of the sets where both p/ups are the same (neck) size and where you don't get as many options.

    Road Worn Jazz

I've just put some active EMGs in a Jazz bass (admittedly not a Fender) and they sound amazing.
  17. I have a PF500 as my backup amp that every so often becomes my gigging amp. What can I say, a good little amp has proved solid and reliable for the 2 possibly 3 years that I have owned it (bought pre-loved) so had some use in its life.
  18. Hi folks Just acquired a bass that the previous owner had fitted an unused set of steel-wound strings. I'm a serial nickel wound offender so these will hopefully find a good home. They were fitted to a 34" scale Fender style bass with 4 in line tuning machines. I'm uncertain as to the brand, but the silks at the headstock end are dark blue. £12 posted UK Mainland

    Feedback for Embra

Recently acquired a lovely G&L from James that arrived beautifully packed almost the next day. James couldn't have been more helpful. Completely top BC banana, the kind of bloke that makes this place what it is. Thanks very much.
  20. Unless it's prog, then you have to use a series of prime numbers.
  21. Excellent well done folks, respect is due. I presume these have been independently verified?
