  1. Absolutely fine. Tried it several times yesterday to make sure but not issues at all. This particular bass is wearing relatively lightweight D'Addario nickels in 45/60/80/105 flavours as opposed to the headless Border Reiver, also 32" scale. that has the D'Addario EXL160BT set on. Guages for the 160BTs are 50/67/90/120. Looking at the bass is think black tapewounds might look pretty cool too!
  2. The seeds of the idea to commission a similar beastie were definitely sown after I'd had a go on yours
  3. Cheers bud, just been having a quick noodle, v nice indeed to play.
  4. Here we go folks ACG Finn 32" scale P bass Alder body with quilted maple top natural satin finish 3-pc ash neck with Maple board P bass pickup, passive electronics, detuner on E string Weight 7.4lbs Crappy phone pic, will so better ones in due course.
  5. Picking up my new 32" P type bass tomorrow. Overly excited for an older person.
  6. This is my main gigging bass with the pub rock covers band I play in. It's actually an American Std P bass from 2015 iirc. Black/Black/Rosewood as you can see and looks pretty 70s to my eyes. Approx 50% of your budget and nicely built. Not an expert on 70s/80s Fenders by any means but the Am Stds are nicely bult basses. Sounds great too
  7. If one pops up, then maybe a Squier SIlver Series P bass is a nice thing as an alternative option?
  8. If you have two straps which box do you tick, 1-2 or 2-5?
  9. Just about given up trying to find my old 1st gen Legend, but came across this beauty that has a serial number within 6 places of my old one. Assuming these are sequential they must surely be related p.s. Posted a few vids in the "Show Us Your Playing Vids" thread using the Euro 4LE.
  10. Recently knocked off a few vids at Berlin Studios in Blackpool: 20th Century Boy Tie Your Mother Down Radar Love Wishing Well
  11. Hi y'all I have some bits that came off a Spector Legend bass. Looking a lot like Gotoh items but unbranded (as are the original fit items) £25 posted UK mainland Rendom black flat-top knobs. 3 singles and 1 stacked £10 posted UK mainland Happy to do more pics of anything for any interested parties. Thaks for looking.
  12. Hi peeps I have an urge to try to track down and hopefully re-acquire my first 'proper' bass, a Spector Legend 4 in Dark Cherry. The serial number is 8854 and it was from the first series of Legends witth the three-band EQ. On of the knobs was slighly off centre iirc. Any info etc. welcomed. Happy to offer a very fair price for the bass. I sold it on here (well on an earlier version of BC I think) in 2011. Here's the f/s post: Thanks in advance folks.
  13. OK thanks DAve Had a few more goes and I think that it has worked even though the transaction was a bit lumpy and seemed to not round off. Anyway I have a PayPal receipt email and the payment is showing on my account so fingers crossed that it reached the seller OK.
  14. Been trying to buy the CD on Whiteknight Records but PayPal doesn't seem to like this very much?
  15. Bart B Axis p/ups are great. Had them in a Sandberg TT recently.
  16. Forgot to add mine didn't have the sticker on the reverse of the headstock so maybe this was added subsequently and may explain the disintegration?
  17. Good work there, loving that tune. Any planned dates in the northwest?
  18. I had 00099, same colour with parchment pickguard and both Ashtrays. The pickups had exposed pole pieces and this was the part no.
  19. Rich just bought a bass from me. I think we have been exchanging gear for a while, and I can't emphasise enough what a top bloke Rich is. Great to deal with, prompt payer, good comms. Deal in confidence folks.
  20. The p/ups are Bartolini B Axis per the description above. There's a link to the product page there too.
