  1. This is certainly my expereice in the covers band playing in clubs around Preston. First set is around 60 mins and the second a bit longer. In one particular venue we rearely do less than 2 1/2 hours due to requests for encores (which is very kind).
  2. It was indeed just three ACGs last time.
  3. Of course, with it's sister I think...
  4. Of course I'm going to blame the bottle of Rioja that I'm getting well stuck into atm.
  5. Way too cryptic for little ol' me? Here's a clue: A limited edition 4-string from a US manufacturer that's not Fender. Not in the shops quite yet.

    P Bass options

DOn't overlook out the MIJ Squier in the F/S section too. WIll be a nice bass imho. Here's the link...
  7. Just put down a deposit on one of these bad boys to keep my 4LE 1977 company..
  8. Fender American Standard Precision Bass 2015 - NOW SOLD ELSEWHERE For sale, in a vague attempt to reduce my stock of P basses, is this is an American Standard P bass, a series that is no longer available and that is very well regarded for consistent quality. The truss rod turns and the frets are in very good shape. There are one or two very minor dings to the finish from use over the past few years, but nothing awful. The bass is in excellent condition and comes with a Fender Deluxe gig bag. The Rosewood board is in very good condition and has been cleaned and oiled. I would prefer to arrange some kind of delivery/collection/meet up if at all possible. I'm pretty flexible and willing to travel a bit if necessary. Courier would be the last resort and will be at cost to you. If you have any questions at all, or require additional pictures of any details please ask away and I give as comprehensive an answer as I am able. With my modest skills this bass is a bit tricky to capture in pics but here are a few that I hope are better than my first attempt.
  9. Happy ending (not that sort of happy ending you pervs). BD have responded to my original email from a month ago following the manufacturer's intervention, bass reserved and deposit paid.
  10. What do you mean "in the morning".....
  11. Hopefully sorted now. The manufacturer, who are renowned for their legendary levels of customare care, have put me in direct contact with their international sales team manager.
  12. It was from my personal Gmail account so not a threat to national security I feel.
  13. If I told you I'd have to kill you all 😎 Because of stuff around phones/cameras are left in lockers. As to breaks etc. yes of course we have them but it's actually a bit of a hike to retrieve phone and go outside etc. etc. and ends up using quite a lot of the time available so I'd prefer not to have to do it. Needs must however and I'll probably end up having to do this. Deffo comes under the #firstworldproblems though.
  14. Thanks for all the reassurances folks. I guess the email may have fallen into a spam filter but in the past I have used it successfully to communicate with them. Also I got an automated response on the Facebook message saying that it had been received and that I would be contacted as soon as the office opened.
  15. Oh well, it must just be me he dislikes. Or maybe he needs to rename the place Bass Parts Direct. I'll contact the manufacturer direct to see if I can get some bass goodness from them.
  16. I've been trying to contact Mark at BD about ordering a bass; c.£2k price so not inconsequential. Unfortunately where I work we have massively strict rules about personal calls and this makes it very difficult to phone during their opening hours so I have tried emailing via the website as well as via Facebook but all I get back is a stony silence. Disappointed.
  17. Congrats, that's a beauty.
  18. For sale are some very lightly used Fender flatwounds. They were fitted to a 34" scale bass with a 2 over 2 style headstock. Now sold thanks.
  19. Tom bought a bunch of hardware from me. Easy transaction, plenty of comms and very fast payment. Thanks very much.
  20. Lloyd bought a pedal from me. Easy transaction, plenty of comms and very fast payment. Thanks very much.
  21. Jack bought a pedal from me. Easy transaction, plenty of comms and very fast payment. Thanks very much.
  22. All sold now. Thanks for the interest.
  23. You can buy them on the Sandberg site. I have bought stuff there and it arrived promptly and without delay if that addresses your concern?
  24. How about this one? Used to be mine (active/passive s0 best of both worlds), light as a feather too: https://classicandcoolguitars.co.uk/portfolio/sandberg-vs4-red/
