  1. But surely we can forgive this one if you've also written Day In The Life?
  2. As has been said already pre-loved MIJ RI Jazz basses are pretty good value.
  3. Just acquired a beautiful Lakland Skyline from Mark; complete gent, plenty of prompt and comprehensive PM. Handover of the bass was made very easy for me. Great guy to deal with, highly recommed BCer.
  4. Surely a 2004 MIA Fender (for the future)
  5. Goodness, how to chosse three ... Nothing Else Matters - Metallica Firth of Fifth - Genesis Anesthetise - Porcupine Tree ... but so many others
  6. Ddin't some of the later ones have that routed gap under the P/G?
  7. My Spector http://www.spectorbass.com/Euro4LE1979 has a set of Di Marzios with the Tonepump which is probably the nearest I personally can get to your set up. I'm trying to imagine the sound you are striving to achieve and think the DMs would also be an option to consider.
  8. I saw that show in London, happy days.
  9. My old bass. Ummm tempting as it was a very reluctant sale driven by circumstances.
  10. Thanks. Regrettably my fat fingers need a bit more space 😞
  11. What is the string spacing at the bridge please?
  12. Please can you tell me what the string spacing at the bridge is and how heavy is the bass?
  13. That's quite nice.
  14. Now sold. Thanks for all the interest.
  15. There's a VS5 at Bass Direct atm http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Sandberg_VS5_Black.html
  16. Lot of interest (thanks very much folks). I am dealing strictly in order of PM
  17. I was clearing out my drawers and came across this rather nice tort 4-ply pickguard for a Fender Jazz bass. Can't recall which Jazz bass I purchased it for but it's of no use to me now. Now sold thanks Here are some picks:
  18. For me natural with a satin finish If it has to be a particular colour then probably aged OW is right up there:
  19. Picked up a love Jazz bass from Vin today. Top bloke, very helpful and so easy to deal with. Many thnaks.
  20. Don't tell me you've run out of JVs Lovely bass, GLWTS
  21. Now sold elsewhere
  22. JUst bought it but not played it yet.
  23. If it's not been said already, then the best beginners bass is one that you can't walk past when it's on the stand at home without picking it up for a noodle.
