  1. My exact experience too. The forst expensive bass I bought and saved up for over 12 months for it.
  2. TBH I've seen more Euro 4LXs with the reverse P / J pickup set om the 4-string side. Maybe for 5ers its soapbars.
  3. It's a brilliant place, go and pick it up and have a holiday whilst you're at it
  4. Lovely bass, I hope you enjoy it for years to come.
  5. I have much sympathy with this view. I very much enjoy my ACGs but with the covers band, live, my MIJ P bass just gets the job done.
  6. Got mine too, £20 per a few early birds on here. Well worth it.
  7. Personally I'm not a fan so switched to D'Addarios and have used them for several years.
  8. Brand new and unused. I opened one envelope and immediately realised that, mupput that I am, I bought the wrong set €39 new so offered at £25 posted UK mainland. These ones: http://www.ghsstrings.com/products/19898-short-scale-balanced-nickels?category_id=1969196-balanced-nickels
  9. Best I can manage is a '66 P and an MIJ '96 P
  10. Further endorsement for Jack. He has done a few for me now.
  11. Heavy Warwick content. Is he an endorsee?
  12. Ritz in Manchester last night. Uriah Heap supported by Von Hertzen Brothers. Fun evening spoilt only by the poor sound mix for the VHB set. Did start to wonder briefly whether Spinal Tap was modelled on UH not Saxon. Very tongue in cheek show so probably Saxon after all.
  13. The Drop pedals are great. I wouldn't record through it but unbeatable for practice (and gigs in my case).
  14. Sadly that was the last date of the current tour. Both bands said they'd be on the road again soon(ish). Pic of Spock's Beard and Dave Meros with his Fenderbacker bass.
  15. Prog warning... I saw The Flower Kings and Spock's Beard in Manchester last night. Excellent evening, if you like that sort of thing.
  16. I never knew that. That being said I'm a Dunlop user so I routinely sway them over in any case.
  17. Loving both of those basses.
  18. I guess Sandberg must photograph their basses pre-shipment. Interesting though
  19. What's weird is that your image looks like it's my bass from the grain on the wood.
  20. I wouldn't say better just different. I've never been a big Delano fan and wanted a slightly warmer less modern tone which I feel the B-Axis items provide. I'd not even heard them before so it was a bit of a punt.
  21. That looks extremely similar to my bass. Is that an ebony board too? I've swapped the standard fit knobs to ones with white lines on and the p/ups are now Bartolini B-Axis items.
  22. No idea about hardcases I'm afraid, both mine live in the Sandberg gig bags they came in.
  23. Just one for the cóck?
