  1. I had a set of Di Marzio DP126 in a PJ and they were awesome. Happened to notice that Dood has a set for sale on here so you could also save a few squids.
  2. Now SOLD thanks For sale are a very lightly used set of Seymour Duncan 5-string P bass SPB-3 Quarter Pounder pickups that I have owned from new. They come In the original box with some unused screws in the original sealed bag.. No issues at all other than I had to extend on lead as I inadvertently took and inch or so off it in error when I was re-doing the tinning on the ends. These are c.£125 new, so bargain at £80 plus P&P.
  3. They are all around the 45-105 size; pretty sure there are no light or heavy gauge sets at any rate.
  4. There's a Sue Ryder F/S at around £80 on here iirc. These are well thought of.
  5. Upgrades required for total wallflower discretion include LEDs and those luminous strings (different colour for each string obvs).
  6. Please tell me you play in a folk trio 😊
  7. I'd listen to this! Can you do something on the benefits of HO vs N guage model railways too?
  8. Not a Fender historian by any distance, but isn't it related to the general malaise at the company at that time as CBS were working towards selling the business.. The Fullerton factory closed in '84 (I think) and production switched to Japan (for US basses) until Corona opened in '87.
  9. Ah that explains where I've being going wrong. I thought it was about fly fishing for whales.
  10. I've tried selling a bass or two on Reverb without success so can't offer much in that respect. Not sure why it shouldn't work though.
  11. Great, many thanks for the quick response.
  12. Beautiful bass. Can I ask about the controls, are the active pickups feeding a simple passive V/T circuit for each p/up or is it more cunning than that!

    NBD ACG TKO

    Very nice indeed.
  14. Not had fleas, but I really liked my RW Jazz.
  15. Of the ones that I have tried, maybe 3 or 4 on the list, I do like the ACG filter amps for fretless basses and probably the East items for more traditional 3-band preamps.
  16. Mark at Classic & Cool has a rather lovely VT in stock that is not up on the site just yet...
  17. He had a pretty hard time on the docks iirc.
  18. Hi peeps Is there something that can be bought off the shelf, or is it down to Jack's? Cheers
