    Now I can get back on the site during lunchtime, (apparently visiting a forum doesn't count as work - who knew) I'm still in the dark. I can't see a box that says "write a public message...", neither can I see an Options menu that allows it to be enabled (were it disabled in the first place).

    I have an NP4 in a Sandberg VS and I'm a fan. I find it sounds very similar to my MIJ E series P; alas I have no experience of the BK as a counterpoint unfortunately.

    Yes they have a shutter problem. There is a team on the pavement today with tools and stuff and a sign saying to go round to the side entrance. Glad you got it sorted.

    Never tried one, but is this not about careful string selection? Our very own eude has some shorter scale ACG 6s (possibly 5ers too).

    Look for the ones with the European style 'r' in the logo. Looks a bit like Gneco when you glance at it. I had a Gneco EB3-alike which was pretty decent.

    I've sort of got one. It's a Limelight version of Geddy's '72 Jazz but based on the Fender Custom Shop bass from a few years back that "sold" (or maybe went on sale) for around $4,000 or so.

    I had a set of Di Marzio DP126 in a PJ and they were awesome. Happened to notice that Dood has a set for sale on here so you could also save a few squids.

    Now SOLD thanks For sale are a very lightly used set of Seymour Duncan 5-string P bass SPB-3 Quarter Pounder pickups that I have owned from new. They come In the original box with some unused screws in the original sealed bag.. No issues at all other than I had to extend on lead as I inadvertently took and inch or so off it in error when I was re-doing the tinning on the ends. These are c.£125 new, so bargain at £80 plus P&P.

    They are all around the 45-105 size; pretty sure there are no light or heavy gauge sets at any rate.
