  1. I would happily recommend either of my two fretless ACGs. Of the two the Recurve is super flexible. http://archive.acguitars.co.uk/portfolio/0253-recurve-fretless-4/ http://archive.acguitars.co.uk/portfolio/0120-custom-j-type-fretless-4-string/
  2. What kind of things might interest you trade-wise?
  3. I thought it a strange choice, but wondered whether there was some connection leading to a very good deal in the background.
  4. Nobody massive. But I was at the show where IQ recorded Live On The Road of Bones and also for the reasonably recent Karnataka live DVD.
  5. 4-string NT Natural finish Preamp with active/passive switching, must have tone control that works in both modes
  6. I had one of the MIM so called "black label" precisions and it looks quite a bit different to my eyes.
  7. Interested, but feel that agreeing a common spec might be the biggest challenge of them all.

    Feedback for dmckee

Just acquired a pickup from Dave. Top comms and very fast postage, well packaged too. Deal in confidence peeps.
  9. My hovercraft is full of eels.
  10. I used to use a Jazz bass into a Genz Benz Streamliner / Barefaced Compact / Midget more for monitoring as I'd DI Into the PA. Jazz or P basses seem to work pretty well.
  11. Have you seen this in the Wanted section:
  12. Not to mention young Mr 40Hz's USA Sub.
  13. My Greco was a 34" scale and from my recollection so is the one currently f/s. I'm currently gassing over a very fine 32" scale ACG Mum's the word of course and mention it not to the ever tolerant Mrs ead.
  14. I have no frame of reference unfortunately, but I used to own this one (a little earlier in time than the black one on here) and it was a perfectly decent bass. The tone you describe is certainly there but didn't suit either of the bands I play in.
  15. There's a nice looking Greco EB-3 alike on here for sensible money....nothing to do with me I should add.
  16. Now sold. Thaks for all the interest and kind comments.
  17. The nut is 40mm. The J and P Silver Series shared a common neck and it sat between the two profiles. Not sure how to describe it but not a baseball bat, probably somewhere around a C or a D.
  18. None of my older basses appear so guessing it's a new thing? Surely only going to work well if everybody registers everything.
  19. Hopefully a good omen. If you want me to take a peek on your behalf, you have but to ask 🙂
  20. One of these...the bass itself is a Limelight that I commissioned as a replica of the main man's '72 Jazz. I've got the plain aged white p/g too, but couldn't resist getting the pearloid white one with the amalgamation symbol he has on the US sig basses (with pearloid block markers on the neck).
  21. Nelson is only a few miles from me. next to Colne (silent "L").
  22. Hi peeps For sale is my Squier Silver Series P bass that i acquired a little while ago (from the original owner I believe). The bass has sat pretty much unused for the last 9 years and is in excellent condition. There are two dings on the body, one near the bridge and the other near the pickup. The pictures make them look far worse that they are. Everything is original apart from one bridge saddle (A string) that has been replaced with a Fender item. The strings were ridiculously rusty when I acquired the bass and have been replaced. The truss rod works, there is very little fret wear. A very nice bass that I will be sad to see leave the fold, but I do have three other Ps so something had to give. By my scales the bass weighs 8.3lbs or around 3.7kgs, so nice and light. I have a new Fender gig bag that is included, but if I have to ship it would be a 'roadworn' but functional hard case. I prefer to meet up /deliver if possible and courier would be the last resort and at your cost. Price is a very reasonable £295 ovno Here are some pics. Please let me know if you have any questions or want to see any additional details of the bass. Thanks for looking.
  23. '66P, not the best pic, sorry.
