  1. Taking the "etc." a bit further, I've commissioned an ACG RetroB Jazz that is sub £2k. Probably (almost certainly) less options than maybe SEI or Sadowsky. http://www.acguitars.co.uk/retrob-basses/
  2. Not even looked at it tbh. As you say spectoremg, does the world really need more versions of old Yes classics? However I would be interested to hear Lee P do The Fish.
  3. I struggle with The Stone Roses.
  4. St Patrick has a lot to answer for. We are essentially a juke box rock covers band. At a gig last St Pats day one particularly drunk lady kept asking if we could play a selection of Irish jigs, and when we pointed out that it wasn't really our bag she then asked if we knew any songs by Irish bands. We had of course just played a couple of Thin Lizzy tunes and a U2 tune to boot.
  5. This used to be mine until I had to sell a few basses, a P bass with P Retro + active/passive switch but no series/parallel option. I'd buy it back at the drop of a hat tbh. http://archive.acguitars.co.uk/portfolio/0252-p-type-4/
  6. I genuinely don't think Alan would mind. John East makes the P Retros for ACG (which are slightly different I think) so worth giving him a call too.
  7. P-Retro maybe?
  8. Thanks boys, I'll give it a good listening to.
  9. Where is it please, for those folk who are not savvy in these matters?
  10. Strings Direct for me too.
  11. The long-awaited but ultimately uninteresting post...

Whilst dismantling and cleaning an old BBOT Fender bridge I have successfully managaed to loose one of the saddle adjustment screws and the associated spring (for setting the intonation).  Does anyone have an unloved one in a drawer somewhere please?

  12. Great thanks Ped. I was seriously beginning to doubt my pretty slender grasp on reality for a bit.
  13. It's really not! I've posted in "Wanted" as I was after a Fender BBOT bridge saddle screw and spring as I've mislaid one when I dismantled an cleaned up an old bridge. I though a status thingy might attract a wider audience.
  14. I'll try logging off and back on again....
  15. Thanks Ped, but I still can't see anything that looks like what is described above.
  16. Now I can get back on the site during lunchtime, (apparently visiting a forum doesn't count as work - who knew) I'm still in the dark. I can't see a box that says "write a public message...", neither can I see an Options menu that allows it to be enabled (were it disabled in the first place).
  17. Thanks folks.
  18. Please help an IT skills disadvantaged person
  19. I have an NP4 in a Sandberg VS and I'm a fan. I find it sounds very similar to my MIJ E series P; alas I have no experience of the BK as a counterpoint unfortunately.
  20. Fender gig bag transacted to perfection as always. Cheers bud.
  21. Yes they have a shutter problem. There is a team on the pavement today with tools and stuff and a sign saying to go round to the side entrance. Glad you got it sorted.
  22. Thanks ambient. I think I got the jist but have also discovered a whole raft of other things I know nothing about
  23. Never tried one, but is this not about careful string selection? Our very own eude has some shorter scale ACG 6s (possibly 5ers too).
