Definitely the former- I do the arrangements for the band and direct the rehearsals. The singers handle the aesthetics and the organisation but the buck stops with me with the music. It’s a double edged sword, it’s a lot of work getting up to five part horn arrangements ready, our keyboardist only reads and the guitarist has the memory of a sieve but on the plus side- if I don’t want to play a song, we don’t!

I recently acquired a 5 for reading gigs- most modern shows are written for 5s now and the going across strings does make it much easier to read and watch the MD.

The clip looks like it was recorded at the same time as the Fearless Flyers videos with Cory Wong and Mark Lettieri. They all use those stands as bit of a gimmick.

Hi all, just a quick question about the battery life on Sire V7s. Mine has been getting its first show outing this week and rather fun it has been too, but it struck me I don’t know what the symptoms are if the battery runs out. Obviously passive mode is there to save the day but I don’t want to have any noise or indeed a complete cut out. I reckon the batteries have done about 15 hours so far. Any help would be most appreciated, thank you. Harry
