1. Withdrawn sorry.
2. Hi All, I got my mim precision quite recently second hand, it came with a SD 1/4 Pounder which I thought would give me exactly what i wanted sound wise. But I am finding I am playing it with the tone rolled off by a fair amount all the time. I think it is just a bit too hot, or it sounds it to my ear. I play mostly R+B, Motown, Soul, Blues and little bit of Funk + Classic rock. It is currently strung with d'addario chrome flatwounds. I was considering changing to the Seymour Duncan SPB-1, Do you think this will offer me a wide enough range of tones for the music styles I play? And maybe be more suited? Any advice and other alternatives welcomed! Cheers, JM
3. Hi All, Currently trying to get a 60's/70's distorted tone (Jack bruce, Geezer etc) My amp at the mo is a Marshall MB4210, and there is no way I could afford an SVT or the like. So I am on the hunt for a pedal that can go some way to providing a *similar* sound. I have watched the video on the MarkBass distortion pedal but I would like to hear your opinions on the subject. Look forward to responses, Many thanks , JM

9. Hey all, I'm looking at upgrading in the near future from my marshall Mb4210 to a Barefaced Compact cab and I'm not sure which head. What would make a good combination with this? I have probably about 3-400 max after buying the cab. Cheers, JM

14. Hi All, Selling my much loved Taylor Big Baby. Currently strung up with Elixir nanoweb regulars and of course including the lovely Taylor gig bag, one of the best inclusive gig bags I've seen! Stats and colour are the same as here Taylor BB I do not have access to my digicam at the mo, but I can assure you this is in darn good condition, has never seen use out of the bedroom and always kept in its softcase. There are the usual light scratchs in the usual areas, but for a couple of years old it really looks, plays and sounds great. I would prefer a pickup or very local delivery, but I can try and pack it for a courier (at buyers expense as usual). I would need to try and source a suitable box tho. Pics will be up as soon as Im able. Looking for 180 ono, Cheapest I can source online is 349.99. Would like bank transfer, not paypal also thank you Cheers, JM!
15. Yeah it is lined, will be picking up the Squier VM Fretless Jazz for my first.
16. Hi All, Just about to pickup my first fretless bass (used to play double bass in school around 12/13 years ago). I would say i was of an intermediate standard on fretted and I love the sound of fretless. I was wondering what tips people have for making the move into fret free territory? Excercises for improving speed and intonation, some full songs to work on to start with? That kind of thing. I am open minded and enjoy many genres so hit me with your ideas. Many thanks, JM
17. Thanks fellow bc'ers I have a few questions about playing fretless but will pop those in a new thread in theory and technique! Cheers, JM
