1.
Your bass is a partner. And, since you throw genitals in the mix, consider this: who would you like to play with (1) Gemma Arterton or (2) Jacqui Smith ? Rightly or wrongly, I believe my enjoyment & resulting performance will be enhanced by playing with Gemma, not Jacqui. I like the idea of doing stuff with the former, not the latter. So, I see a connection with what I have and what I can do.
Jacqui looks like she'd be dirtier and more fun than Gemma, I'll have a go....
2. I will always say Glenn Cornick from the original Tull lineup. Every time this topic comes up
3. damn it, you've all seen it now....
4. I went straight to Riot. Specifically brixton... there may be some clash influence on me this month....
5. Yep, well done mate, and had we been using a different voting style, xgsjx would have been in my 2nd choice box. So you nearly got a vote mate.
6. Oh, there's a billion old tracks of mine that would fit this perfectly, and yet I now have to write something new, damn you rules...
7. Like mine, had my crappy old P-copy for ever, it is going nowhere, I also now love my frankenfretless more than anything and could probably live with just that forever. I am also fond of my Rickenbastard which took me ages to put together, but am well aware that I don't need it. As well as my black fretless P that i only made so it would match my crappy old black strat. I like my basses and have no need to sell or trade them at all... Happy.
8. Okay, perhaps a little less mellow this month then...
9. Nice gig, welcome, I think I was on the same bill as you guys at Sonic Rock last year (had to cut out early and missed you though). Welcome to BC.
10. Yay local people! Sorry, that's really all I had to say.
11. and here's me just ordered one from Thomann yesterday...
12.
Anchored... unless I've had a pint or two.
and then that w gets added in to it...
13. don't mind me, just lurking in all these threads at the moment....
14. a severed leg?
15. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/genuine-finder-telercaster-project-/320979805662?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item4abbe325de#ht_500wt_945 This man is funnier than he should be. Enjoy
16. My two fretted basses have been sat in their cases doing bugger all for the last 2 years. I can't bring myself to sell them in case I suddenly feel I need them. But I can do pretty much everything on my unlined fretless these days. Would only be for the right look if i hit a band that gave that much of a sh*t about it.
17. But I have lots of those, and they're all rackmounted and accessed by my midi controller board, along with my old analogue synths which i am reluctant to take out of the house. I could gaffa one of these to the side of my bass and it would be fun for a few bars in the breakdown.
18. Day job all day, then house cleaning and dog walking, then squeezed in an hour with my new EUB. Watched a youtube video of how to approach DB properly, realised I was doing that anyway (smug mode) then plugged it in through my guitar pedal board and made the house shake til the missus made me stop. (fuzz face, mxr overdrive, and boost pedal as well, drowned in delay, awesome) Not bad.
19. I also want one, a lot.... I can afford the case for it, just Synth pedal it is then....
20.
I thought you meant something completely different with Soapbar
21. Thanks all, forgot the radius, i have two, I could angle them like a split P... And i think the whump is in fact a loose jack socket, just spotted it last night. Still interested in trying it though, might have an old P somewhere...
22. I was once complimented on my ghost notes after a gig I had no idea what they were, I have since looked them up, and have realised that they are notes I have failed to hit properly. I had no idea I was even doing them until i listened back to some stuff.
23.
surely this doesn't just depend on the length of your strap but the length of your *cough* as well ...?
That my dear chap is why I now have an EUB (I thank you....)
24. That was a very difficult decision, but after much coin tossing I have voted for someone who isn't me. By the way, the cut on my finger has opened up again, and there is more blood (cue heart wrenching music, maybe some cock-awful bit of coldplay, and slow motion scenes of me and my family crying, as my "journey" continues).
25.
They're in their post Seven Seas of Rye phase then
Wahey!
