The original speakers are Sica Neodyms, probably based on the 8B2.5 or a similar model. I'd guess that the Emi Alphas are not an adequate replacement.

Might have something to do with the LX also being a german bass. Nice Streamer btw! -
Two of my Dingwalls are outfitted with this additional strap button. I like it and only use those instead of the normal ones. The difference isn't huge, but noticeable and makes reaching the lower notes with my short arms just a bit more comfortable. So it's a useful feature in my eyes, at least for me.

Found some old pics! Make no mistake, it really looks pretty much black unless looked at in the right light and angle. I loved the effect of the finish... -
Ohhh, I remember that one....this was mine a few years ago! 😮 Fantastic instrument, I can vouch for it. Shall I try and see if I find some old pics? I should have some that show the colour and transparency changing under different lighting conditions. The wood has some nice grain underneath the finish... 🙂
