Who actually feels 100% happy with what they've got?...
Mrs Tinman replied to Josh's topic in General Discussion
Hello my name is Terri and I am married to a bass player. I am 100% happy with him and what I can do with him (sorry, couldn't resist ) -
Glad to hear that it went well Any chance of putting names to some faces on the pics? The only person I recognise is Mr Peddrick

Reverb (Sound Control) relaunched website
Hang on ... a bass related post? Who are you and what have you done with Teri????

Thanks OG! I was looking for clearDASHangel all morning due to MrsT's poor spelling!
Sorry for any duff info regarding them, in my haste (to subtley increase my post count :brow: ) I didn't consider checking them out first, just copied across what someone else had posted on HUKD. -
Okayyyyy, apologies if this isn't actually a good deal, I'm sure you lot are bright enough to compare your own prices but I thought this might be useful for someone. Sound Control have relaunched their website as Reverb and to promote this they are apparently offering 20% off everything off their website (that is in stock) and also free delivery for orders over £100. http://www.reverb-store.co.uk/ I must credit the HotUKDeals website, upon which I saw this deal posted this morning. A poster on there has commented that if you check out Newcastle-based Soundslive then their prices are better, another poster mentions a company called clear-angel.net who list all music/studio bargains. Anyway - here's hoping that this may be useful for someone to find a bargain PS: apologies too if this has already been posted elsewhere on this forum.
My other half is excatley the same, when i first met her she was a bit ashamed to admit that she never listened to the Bassline..... now she knows it's there & she listens to all her fave tracks all have strong Basslines.
I was exactly the same, living in ignorance, but between them, Tinman and the good folks of Basschat have heducated me
Well, regretted it until I bought another one last week
Don't you mean until your rather lovely wife was having an overgenerous loved-up day and suggested out of the blue that you might like to change part of your stash of US$ to buy said item? Actually, I may not have been entirely without motive as my current reading material consists largely of holiday brochures PS: I can't believe you have confessed on here to being a Marshall Guitard, oh, the shame

Can I just ask (out of interest) how on earth do people with such large collections afford the insurance premiums on top of everything else (although I'm guessing if you can afford that many basses the extra cost of insurance premiums are neither here nor there) or do you not insure them?
-
Would you buy anything from a man that looks like this:
Some hairstyles never go out of fashion and jokes about pearl necklaces will have scorn heaped upon them...
I rest my case. This Public Information Service has been brought to you by the anonymous, playful, Basschat autumn sprite
Then you'll get some personalised and customised advice, nearly all of which will be sound and come with the general advice proviso: "go and try it for yourself".
Or you'll get me (chief numpty) randomly wandering into your thread, being of absolutely no use at all and wandering out again (sorry, I couldn't resist and I have to try and keep my post count up somehow )
It's been that long since you've ridiculed me Mrs. T that I thought you'd been sold accidentally as a Damien Hirst piece... sits back and waits for her to figure that one out
Are you suggesting that I somehow resemble a dead cow suspended in formaldehyde? (actually, given recent events, you wouldn't be far wrong ) Mwah xxx -

You are possibly already aware of this site, but this could be worth a post on there: http://www.reptileforums.co.uk/

I can appreciate that its not perhaps to everyone's taste but I think it's really cool. Its just the sort of thing that if I had the money at the time I would buy as a fun present for Tinman to hang on the wall of our spare room (his music room) Nice find Tombboy!
