1. Would you be interested in a trade at all? 2006 Jazz 60th anniversary or 1980 Aria Pro II SB700?
2. I'll probably have that SKB off you, just waiting for your reply with the info I've asked....
3. Hi Lee Have you got any pics? What is the rackable depth? Cheers
4. what kind of case? is it a moulded ABS or regular road case?
5. I want some nice simple leads for my gear. Just simple functional ones, no big logos or fancy coloured casings, nice and simple metal ones. The thing is I want some about a metre long with angle jacks for my rack gear, then a couple about 10m for my bass. I really like the Bullet ones, but £70 for a kit is a bit steep, does anyone know of anything that's good quality, with clean and simple design, and lengths other than 6", then 10m, 15m , 20m etc.. Thanks
6.
Fantastic effects unit for a steal - pay bazillions more for the equivalent in boutique, hand painted pedals with hand made capacitors rolled on the thighs of tahitian virgins and never notice the difference on stage.
+1, mine is amazing.
7. Ah... that's ok then, I thought you bought the 2001RB in the end!
8. You sold a 2001RB for £300??? Ohmigod... its worth way more than that Stevie!!
9. If you're thoroughly over your McKagan fix and want to part with the GK amp let me know!
10. Thanks guys! Just PM'd the doc.
11. Anyone know somewhere I could get a jazz scratchplate without the jazz pickup hole routed out?
12. That's gorgeous... still for sale?
13. have you contacted ebay about it? surely he has to honour the sale arrangement?
14. Fair enough then... I havent played the 1024X so I can't comment to be honest, I played the 2024X and it felt and sounded amazing...
15.
So nothing then! Si
+1
16. Does anyone know the difference between the two other than a grand and a hardcase!?!
17.
I think the clinical sound is to do with the Shuttle rather than GB generally. As before my Streamliner is a very different beast and a lot warmer.
Fair enough, I havent tried the Streamline, only the Shuttle...
18.
I recorded some tracks in the studio last week, using a Fender Bassman head, and an Ampeg SVT 410HE cab. I can`t lift the heavy stuff anymore, but as soon as I heard that sound, knew I had to go back to somewhere near it, so goodbye to Gallien Krueger MB Fusion 500 & Schroeder BMF 410, hello to Ampeg PF500 & PF410HLF. The GK/Schro was a great setup, but after hearing the old-school tones, I realised my set-up was far too modern for me, and I needed to go "home". I know it`s still Class D, but the PF has to be the warmest Class D I`ve encountered (maybe OTB?) and gives a much more rounded old-school tone than any others I`ve used.
Thats just how I felt Lozz, I just missed that dirty old rock'n'roll tone. The clinical sound of the Genz Benz just didn't work for me....
19. Its a real shame, I had such high hopes for the STL6.0 but it just wasn't my thing. To be fair I didn't swap the valve as Bren suggested, but I did try almost every drive pedal known to man...
