1. Gorgeous.... I want. Are you interested in trades at all? I have a beautiful Stingray up for trade: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/157150-fsft-musicman-stingray-30th-anniversary/ Steve
2. Sorry, I know you have said no trades, but your jazz is gorgeous and I'd love it. Can I wet your pallette with this beauty? http://basschat.co.uk/topic/157150-fsft-musicman-stingray-30th-anniversary/ Steve
3. That's gorgeous... Do you fancy a 30th Anniversary Stingray? http://basschat.co.uk/topic/157150-fsft-musicman-stingray-30th-anniversary/
4. If you still have the 4x10 in November I might have it off you...
5. I had an Ampeg 810 once, I bought an Astra Estate to get it (with flightcase) into. It was about 1.5 inches too narrow... epic fail. Had to leave the flightcase at home every time I took it out. You only make that kind of mistake once...
6.
I could imagine that Jason Newsted heard this every day for 15 years
Haha, brilliant!!
7.
"let's do a cover version of this band that no-one has ever heard of before but they're my favourite band"
A bit like our cover of State Of Love And Trust by Pearl Jam we did a while ago, our guitarist whinged for months until we played it, then we gigged it to a pub full of students who looked at like we'd just stepped off Mars. Brilliant.. .lets stick to songs people actually know!
8. "Let's do 500 Miles for the encore, everyone loves it...." oh god!!
9. I had a 4string version a few years ago, gone to a great new home with Retroman now. Great bass and a killer tone! BUMP!
10. I'm probably going to kick myself sometime in the future for this... I'm putting this beauty up for trade or sale. Looking for a US Fender Jazz or US Lakland 44-60 (Jo Osborn), or a 70s Fender Jazz or Custom Shop Jazz, 4 string only, and natural, blonde or sunburst finish, black at a push... I'm not interested in anything else really. [s]£1200[/s], £999 for sale. Yes, massive price drop, its less than a grand! WHAT A BARGAIN! Here's the blurb from EB about the bass: Sterling Ball has been often quoted as saying the this is the BEST Stingray he has ever produced!!! This is one of only 783 ever made. Solid mahogany body with strings thru design. Single H model. Lovely birdseye maple neck, rosewood board all finished in transparent crimson. Comes with a plush black velvet lined oxblood case. A timeless design that continues to be a favorite among bassists worldwide, the Music Man Stingray is commemorated by Ernie Ball with this 30th anniversary limited edition bass. This special version of the Stingray features a mahogany body with a translucent crimson finish and a 34" scale select maple neck with rosewood fretboard, 21 jumbo frets, compensated nut, and six-bolt neck joint. The beefy Music Man humbucker is complemented by a 3-band active EQ and protected from interference noise by body cavity shielding. The hardware includes a wheel-adjust truss rod, Schaller BM tuners with tapered string posts, five-ply black and cream pickguard, and a heavy-duty, string-thru body, chrome-plated steel bridge. Features 30th anniversary limited edition Translucent crimson finish Mahogany body Select maple neck Rosewood fretboard 34" scale 21 jumbo frets Compensated nut 6-bolt neck joint Music Man humbucker 3-band active EQ Body cavity shielding Wheel-adjust truss rod Schaller BM tuners 5-ply black and cream pickguard Heavy-duty, string-thru body steel bridge Chrome-plated hardware Review in Bass Guitar Mag: http://www.bassguita...=37:bassguitars It has a tiny nick in the body due to my clumsy guitarist, other than that bass and case are in lovely condition. This is the damage, its only 3mm wide.

12. Thanks guys. I'm looking for a decent bit of distortion and the M80 was swinging it for me, just wanted to see if anyone really rated the Blowtorch...
13. Has anyone tried both? Which did you prefer and why? Apologies if this thread has been done before but I didn't see one existing...
14.
The image link suggests it's a band called 'Immortal'... this lot: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immortal_%28band%29 From Wikipedia: "Immortal is a black metal band from Bergen, Norway. The band was formed by Abbath and Demonaz Doom Occulta after their previous band, Amputation, did not take off." ^ I guess someone needed to give them a hand! ... I'll get me coat.
Yep, its Immortal. They are hilariously awful...
