    One well-loved bass for sale... Having a bit of a clear out to make (wallet) room for my new Harley, so I'm begrudgingly passing on a few of my treasures. Its a 1984 Matsumoku Aria Pro II SB Elite-II in beautiful translucent black. Its a bit of a rarity as they mostly came in padouk red or oak. • 2 MB II Double coil pickups • 5-ply maple/walnut transmit neck • 24 fret, rosewood board • Slimmer neck than the SB-1000 • Vol, tone, pu selector, 2 coil taps There's a small bit of wear on the edge near the strap button that I've marked on one of the pics, but that's it. Great condition, all original, plays beautifully. Comes with suitable retro burgundy leatherette gig bag. That's a gem in itself, actually all my band laugh at it, but I love the kitsch-retro look of it! £650 would persuade me to give it up, I'm not looking for trades on this one. Metallica fans should love this. I do.

I've heard the Seymour Duncan is pretty faithful to the original MM tone, I don't want to sacrifice that just to get more volume out the G string? I've got a 2006 30th Anni Ray which sounds immense apart from the faint G string...

    Is the general consensus here that the Nordstrand is that much better than the Seymour Duncan pickup? My G-string is sounding painfully weak at the mo, I'm playing a '06 30th Anniv Ray and it sounds absolutely immense, just lacking on the G...

    I'm looking for a new rock band based in West London/Bucks area, either starting one or joining an established one. Into: Lit, Sugarcult, American Hi-Fi, Sugar Ray, No Doubt, Kiss, Velvet Revolver, Skid Row, Buckcherry, Aerosmith, Foo Fighters, Blink 182, Shinedown, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Motley Crue, Whitesnake, Queens of The Stone Age, Led Zeppelin, Rage Against The Machine, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Ryan Bingham, Johnny Cash, Faith Hill...all sorts really. I'm open to doing most things rock/metal/punk. I'm already doing a covers band that's been going for years but I need to get back to playing original material too! Me ----> Enough gear to drown out Motorhead -----> Plus the Ampeg killer rig....
