I find the best thing i look for on a US stingray is a G&L L2000 tribute 🤪

Could the mods please move this to accessories etc?

Agreed the specials are a significant upgrade but their pricing is crazy.
£2k is mental to me for a Stingray (had a classic for £1100). Especially when a ray34 or US SUB will gets you 75% of the way at £600ish. Your mileage may vary obviously.

Beautiful. Health to play.

The USA SUBs are great and half the price.
RAY34s also (not USA if thats non negotiable which it definitely shouldn't be)

What a Billy bargain

That might change for a fretless as the somewhat aggressive nature of the Nordstrands might not suit fretless as well as the Barts.
I found the nord big singles a little dull on my sr600 (swapped nords in) should have kept the Bart’s.
depends what you want. I love the humbuckers on the sr300.
I think some Ibanez had proprietary Nordstrands in them as opposed to the US ones so your mileage may vary…. -

Any interest in my pedals?

Thanks

If everyone on bass chat had a bass baby it would either be this bass or a sunburst P with flats lol.

Me. And probably anyone who favours a P-style neck over a J. 40mm perhaps could have satisfied both preferences? I'm still not overly keen - always feels like a compromise to me.
38mm nut width necks, touted as 'fast', are swapped into P-style basses more often than vice versa. Good technique, profile and finish are far more significant in rendering a neck 'faster' IMO. Horses for courses and all that...
Yeah I hear ya.
I love my l2000 neck and it was a monster.
But live my ibanez more

To be fair, I don't think they're aimed at you. I'd imagine any official Stingray aficionados will give these a wide berth. They're for chancers like me who are interested in the idea and vague spirit of a 'Ray but are in no way interested in paying the price of USA models or the top end SBMM offerings (of which I've already opined about how ridiculous I find their pricing).
Right there with ya buddy 😆

It took me half a dozen rays to get to that realisation. Love the Ray tone just can't get on with playability.
