I will probably get an AM PRO II someday but just have a laugh at some of the CS fender prices. Maybe if you own a small company..... Saw a Phil Lynott Fender bass for 10k on ebay recently, Philo would be rolling in his grave. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324273189213?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=7101533165274578&mkcid=2&itemid=324273189213&targetid=4584826055637458&device=c&mktype=&googleloc=&poi=&campaignid=412354546&mkgroupid=1299623041023876&rlsatarget=pla-4584826055637458&abcId=9300541&merchantid=87779&msclkid=f5439e6fbbda123474fdfea4a353ce33 Maybe the aviator sunglasses are really nice....

Sire V7/V9 vs Player Jazz vs Sandberg Electra TT
horrorshowbass replied to horrorshowbass's topic in Bass Guitars
No the MIJs look great too. I think the sire wins to be honest if I can get one sub £500. Active preamp, cool finish, rolled fretboard edges. Only downside is resalwe is poor but hopefully won't need to worry about that!! -

@uk_lefty thanks for the input man. Thats a lovely bass, love the grain. Yeah it's looking more and more expensive, USA body plus postage plus tax is around 600 alone. Then neck and tuners £300 and a luthier to put it all together, £100ish. Saving 500 quid and having mex neck (not that theres anything wrong with that!) Itll be a Sire V7 burgundy mist or fender player series me thinks.... -

Thread resurrection guys. I've spotted a lovely Fender Am Pro II body on the stratosphere website. Thinking about getting this and sticking a mex neck on it. That plus tuners and luthier costs would be around 800 quid. Anyone ever done this? Only issue is American pro has 5 bolt neck with fancy cutaway and mex is standard 4 bolt..... -

Hes just withdrawn it, had this and an Adam Clayton Warwick up and said he was only selling one. Yeah though €600 would be more like it alright. https://touch.adverts.ie/electric-basses/spector-bass/23762779 -

@TheGreek an NS2000 has come up locally. €700, deal or no deal? It looks nice and better than a legend. Black, neck thru, gold hardware, emg hz and tonepump Jr, looks decent. This would be my first spector so treading lightly -
