1. Bugger. Not the ones I was after, thanks anyway and GLWTS.
2. Any chance you can confirm the pot values please?
3.
I'd hang onto that OC-2 if I were you until you have a chance to A/B them! The COG has awesome tracking and a very smooth sub octave that sounds wicked blended, but it can't quite cop that hollow sounding solo octave sound like the Octabvre can.
I have A/B'd them and prefer the COG for my band stuff. I know exactly what you mean but I almost never use the octaves by themselves (I use them together with fuzz, flanger, phaser etc for various parts) and always have some of the direct signal in the mix - the COG seems to work better when stacked with other pedals (YMMV obviously) and of course, it tracks better. I'll keep the OC2 for messing around with at home and it may make it back onto the board at some point but, for now at least, the COG does what I need better. Plus it's a slightly smaller footprint that two Bosses, so I might even manage to sneak another pedal on there! There's no doubt the OC2 is great at what it does and it definitely has a unique sound. I don't think I'd ever get rid of it for that reason.
4. Been the same for a while now. Nothing too exotic I guess. The two Boss octaves are soon to be replaced by a COG T47.
5.
I hope you asked for a Jar Jar Binks picture just to see his reaction.
I'm as big a Star Wars fan as he is. Jar Jar is not a laughing matter.
6.
T70 demo Is now live on my channel
If it's anything like as good as the T47 I've been demoing (and I suspect it is) then it's a killer! I'm sold on the T47 - I don't need the all-singing all-dancing T70 (I almost don't want to watch your demo in case it convinces me that I do!). The filter control totally makes it for me - anything from a nice clean octave to synthy madness. I've spent the last few days annoying the neighbours with it and I think my trusty old OC-2s are going to have to go into retirement. Just finalising the custom artwork with Tom and mine will be on its way!

8. Depends how it turns out! Not my bass, but the colour is as below. I really want to avoid sanding as I just know I'll end up with flat spots as suggested above. I guess I'm just wary of trying the heat gun in case it doesn't really work and I end up ruining the (admittedly already awful) finish. It doesn't look that bad in the photo (some of my band mates actually like it!) but I just can't get on with it at all. Lighter or darker shade and I could probably live with it, but it's just such a crappy shade of 70's orange (like really old faux wood wall panelling ) I just can't stand it.
9. Have to admit I didn't try the Pure as I'd read a lot of bad reviews. Tender may not be the best at what it does but for the 20 seconds or so I use it in a set (fake organ sound) it'll do me for that money! The Behringer Ultra Shifter/Harmonist was surprisingly good as well, I just didn't fancy its chances against 15 stone being stood on it!
10. I've got the Mooer Tender Octave, which appears to be a clone of the EHX Micro POG. Pretty good it is too! Tracks really well and the price and tiny enclosure made it a no-brainer for me over the much more expensive and larger EHX. Horrible colour though
11. Thanks guys. I couldn't find any method on the Warwick forum other than sanding, which is why I asked here. Guess I'll have to get the elbow grease out *sigh*
12. Loads of times, and always the E - probably because it gets used the most. Definitely do it less often these days (last one was a year or so ago) due to more "mature" playing style and slightly lighter gauge pick, but I still play fairly aggressively so it does still happen.
13. I had the same problem, so I built a bypass loop with a clean boost in it. Then I found that some pedals didn't like the boost before them (distorted the input) so I ended up putting the boost after the return to balance the volumes, which seemed to work better for me. YMMV of course. I suppose you'd almost be better having one loop with the gain on the send and one with the gain on the return, but then it starts to get a bit fiddly. It is surprising something like this isn't already in production as I would have thought it'd be a common problem for those of us using loads of pedals.
14. Tom's letting me a have a T-47 on loan tomorrow - he's confident I'll be replacing my trusty OC-2s very soon afterwards!
15. Hi all, I'm hoping someone might already have done this and so can save me hours of sanding. I have two Warwick Fortress Ones, a '99 in blue (my main bass) and a '94 backup in what I think Warwick call a "honey violin" colour. In some respects Warwick afficionados might consider the backup the better bass due to the earlier year of manufacture, but I absolutely HATE the colour of the finish, hence it rarely gets played except in emergencies. I'd really like to re-stain it in a more palatable colour but would first need to strip the protective finish off it. It looks like a thick matte poly clear coat, but does anyone have the definitive lowdown on this, and an effective way of removing it without resorting to sanding? As the body has a lot of curves and contours I'd like to preserve the shape as well as possible, and I'm concerned that I may spoil this with heavy-handed sanding. I have stripped a MIM Jazz using a heat gun (gently) and this worked really well - does anyone know if the Warwick finish is likely to respond similarly? Cheers!
16. I used Elites on my Warwicks for years but tried some D'Addarios just because I fancied a change. The Pro-Steels, NYXL Nickels and Balanced Tension Nickels have all been excellent, and I've found the Balanced Tension ones particularly good for me as I use drop tunings almost exclusively. I'll not be going back to Elites! FWIW - I tried a couple of different sets of Dunlop strings (Super Brights and another one that escapes me) before I tried the D'Addarios and was very underwhelmed. YMMV, of course.
17. Craig David? Sorry. *gets coat*
18. Had a Boss CE-2. Liked it but sold it - Paid £25 used before the prices of MIJ Boss pedals went through the roof, then sold it on when I realised I could make a healthy profit and I didn't really use chorus enough to warrant keeping it. Lovely warm sound though. Then got a CE-2B. Essentially a CE-2 with an added level knob. Found it too subtle for band use so moved it on. Currently using a CE-5. Love the EQ control for use on bass and seems to cut through the mix far better than the previous two. Definitely a harsher, more clinical sound than the CE-2 or CE-2B, but seems to work better in a band context because of it.
19. Yep, been in similar situations and walked. You did the right thing.
20. Tim Commerford Geezer Butler Robert DeLeo Billy Gould Justin Chancellor
21. Brilliant. Thanks Kev!
22. You have PM
23. Nick sold me a Mooer Octave pedal. Great comms and very quick turnaround - a pleasure to deal with!
24. Read an interview with him about the Unplugged session a few years ago. IIRC it was an Alvarez acoustic through a cheap no-name chorus he picked up for $10 from a junk shop.
